Dear Dimitri,
Hi, Pen Pal. My name's Delia. I'm 15, 5 foot 8 (and of course taller than you), with short black hair and purple highlights. I dye my hair a lot. I wasn't going to include a picture, but I didn't think that would be fair since you did. I start high school tomorrow, actually. My 8th grade English teacher is the who suggest I try writing a pen pal since I have trouble making friends. Her words, not mine. I wasn't up for it either, but you seem nice.

Sadly, I do live in Florida, and it does suck. But it's not all bad. I'm just kidding. It's all bad. The only things I like about Florida are the beaches, Publix's fried chicken, and the memes. How's it like living in California? You probably run into celebrities all the time. And a therapist, huh? What'd you do to get one? (If you don't mind me asking)

I guess here are 5 not-fun facts about me:

• My full name is Delia Ann-Elizabeth Young. Yes. 2 middle names.

• I'm an only child. Sometimes I wish I had a brother or sister, or just someone to hang out with 24/7, but I like being alone. Your siblings seem cool.

• I have 2 ferrets, Bill and Ted (yes, from the movie). I got them last year as a birthday present. (Picture of them also included)

• I've never actually been to church, but it seems cool. I'll have to go and check out this 'Jesus' person you mentioned. (JK I know who He is)

• I write in my spare time. I'm pretty serious about it, which is probably why I decided to do this pen pal thing. It's more exciting than getting an email.

Hopefully, your therapist is right and we do become best friends. God knows I could use one. (See? I know who He is, too). What kind of clothes did you get with your Mom? I wish I could go shopping with mine, but my aunt takes me sometimes. I just checked my phone. It's midnight. I have to be up at 6 AM for school. Ugh.

May our days of high school be the greatest days in history.
