DIMITRI
February 28th
Dear Delia,
I can tell how my dad is going to act by the way he comes home. If he comes home drunk, he'll go straight to his room and pass out. If he comes home to drink, hell is going to break loose. My dad's going on a business trip this weekend. I'm going to tell my mom then. I want to make sure my dad isn't around before I say anything. I love my dad, but he's making it so hard right now. My mom's stuck on taking care of my dad and I'm stuck taking care of Dennis.
You bought a bible? I am proud of you. I'm glad you're reading it. I read my bible every night before I go to sleep. My favorite verse is:
"For I have learned to be content whatever the circumstance." -Philippians 4:11
No matter what I'm going through, I always try to be grateful for what God has given me. I try to stay positive, too. Happy mind, happy life. My heart gets so heavy sometimes it's hard to keep my head up.
Does your dad hit you?
Love, Dimitri
