DIMITRI

August 31st
Dear Delia,
Please do not stay at home anymore. Don't waste your money on your dad. You said so yourself you don't think he's going to change. He had a chance to show you if he was serious and he broke his promise. No matter how many times he says it, he's never going to change. It's only going to end bad.

Diamond and Riley have been dating for a few months. They've been keeping it private. He wants to be a paramedic. I think they're really cute together. Diamond tells me about how much time they spend together and all the phone calls before they go to sleep. It's romantic.

Yes. We did have a piñata of my dad. Literally.

There's this cute guy I've been talking to in my Biology class. His name is Aaron. We had a math class together freshman year. I can't tell if he likes me back. We play around and tease each other, but I don't know if he's flirting or treating me as 'one of the guys'. But he's so cute and sweet and funny and I'm crushing hard. Like head over heels.

It was a little scary being on the road, but having my grandpa with me eased my nerves. You get used to it. Driving's kind of fun. Well, to me at least. I'm sure in a year I'll hate it.

Is sophomore year treating you better than freshman year?

Love, Dimitri
