DIMITRI

February 10th
Dear D,
I'm so sorry she outed you without your consent. As a fellow Christian myself, we don't accept her. Jesus tells us to love our neighbors, no matter what and no matter their sexual orientation. I am proud that you've started going to church. I want you to know that I love you and support you 100%. You don't deserve to have those horrible things said to you.

I wish I could fly to Florida and give you the biggest hug right now. I can't even imagine what you're going through. Thank God you're homeschooled now. I'm not a lawyer or anything, but can't you sue the school for letting the bullying take place? I mean, you said so yourself they were aware and didn't care. Wrote it off as 'teasing' or some bullshit.

I can't believe sophomore year is almost over. Time is going by so fast. I finally met Aaron's family. They're really nice. He has an older brother, Spencer (17) and a younger sister Ashley (5). She reminds me of Dennis. She showed me all her Barbies and stuffed animals. Next week my mom and I are having dinner with him and his parents.

Does your family know that you're gay?

Love, Dimitri
