DIMITRI
September 18th
Dear Delia,
Is there a way for you to switch classes? Maybe you could try asking your dad again if you can homeschool online? You shouldn't have to deal with what those horrible kids are saying to you. Ooh, what's your new friend's name? Is she nice? She better be nice to you. Were they double stuffed Oreos?Delia Young, YOU ARE NOT A BURDEN! Any family would be lucky to have you. I know for a fact Aunt Sue doesn't see you as a burden. I'm sorry to be blunt, but your dad is never going to get better. There will always be empty promises. He knows you are the only person who would drop everything to take care of him, so he tells you what you want to hear. It's classic manipulation.
Aaron asked for my number yesterday! He was walking me to my locker and just asked me. We've been texting every single day.
I'm still seeing Doctor Hapbe. I've been putting off talking to my mom about this whole thing. The thought of opening up and being honest terrifies me, like the way you are with driving. My mom has a lot going on right now, anyway, especially with a new house and a new job. I don't want to add another thing to her plate.
My question: if possible, would you come live with me?
Love, Dimitri
