Robbery

Although the small drug store you were working for was decent enough for pay, it was something you knew that was good for you to have.

It comes in handy when Taylor was away on tour, or just when she worked late nights at the studio. It was another one those nights and you were working the night shift as well, so this was a perfect schedule, considering that you both would get home at the same time. It was getting near to the end of your shift and you were in charge of locking up the place with a few other coworkers you called friends and family. It was the last hour of your shift and you were opening boxes and putting things away when four young gentleman had come inside.

When you heard the traditional bell go off when a costumer comes in, you turn to greet them only for them to greet you with a gun.

One of them was more tall and muscular than the others, and you assumed for him to be the ring leader. He was the one who showed you that he had a gun and you knew the motive for this was robbery. Survival mode kicks in as he demands you take him to every register in the store and to give them the money. You explain to him to that you didn't have the knowledge on operating the registers and the best thing you could do right now, was to page someone that knew how. As easy as paging was, it seemed to suddenly be the most difficult thing for you to do as you could not get your shaking hands and voice under control as you hold the phone up and speak over the intercom.

"C-can I get some assistance at register one? Please and thank you."

One of your coworkers was brave enough to come out and help you out as he took the men to the registers. With the money now gathered and stolen, it was weird to call this a peaceful robbery as no gunshots were fired and no one hurt. Once the money was in their hands, they just took off running out the store and after hearing them speed off in their getaway car, one of the employees had called 9-11 while some remained hidden, afraid to come out and you were one of them. You pull out your own phone and called Taylor up, letting her know what went down.

She was allowed to leave the studio early after they learned of the situation, and the whole way to you, she kept you on the phone with her until she got there.

You remained hidden under the desk under the register with your eyes clamped shut and your hands covering your ears as you had never been so petrified in your life. It got more intense as you hear footsteps approaching you, you coward down as far as you could take yourself, that is until you hear a familiar voice.

"Y/n?"

It was Taylor, she was accompanied by a police officer and you let out a sigh of relief.

Taylor helps you up and pulls you close to her in her warm embrace, and after a brief interview with the police officer, you were both free to go home.
