You remember high school as if it were only yesterday.
High school was hard on you, you were bullied, teased, and even some of them told you to just end your life. You could feel yourself starting to become at your lowest. However, the only good thing that had come during those years was when you met your girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Your assigned seats happened to be right next to each other on the very first day. At first, you didn't talk much but soon, you were no longer shy to have small talks with her.
Though you considered her to be your only friend, you still sat down at lunch by yourself.
It was a memory that was slightly fading away, but you remember what you can. You remember that one day at lunch when she had protected you from your bully. So, here's what happened:
As you got in line to pick up your lunch, you noticed Taylor was already seated at a table and was eating her lunch. She glanced up at you and gave you a kind smile, to which you returned. The line was long, but was moving fast and before you knew it, you were carrying your tray and went in search of a place to sit and eat up. Not paying much attention, you didn't noticed your bully was approaching you, and when you did, you froze on the spot, wanting to get it over with of whatever was about to happen.
As you remained still, you took notice that she was looking down at your tray , and your heart started racing, afraid of what was to come. She picks up your cup of corn and knocks it on the floor of the cafeteria, making it a mess.
"Oops." She says sarcastically, completely unaware she was being watched and was about to be confronted by someone.
Taylor saw the whole thing happened and it made her blood boil. She couldn't understand why you'd be a target of bullying because you have a good heart and is kind to everyone, even to those who weren't kind to you.
"It's alright." You say.
That was the final straw for Taylor. She stood up and stalked over angrily and stepped in between you, pushing you behind her.
"What's your problem?"
"You." Taylor responded as she pushed your bully with enough force to make her fall backwards and lose her own lunch to the floor.
She picks herself up and nothing more was said as she walked away, muttering curse words. Taylor turns to look at you and takes your hand, pulling you along with her back to where she was sitting earlier and makes room for you to sit next to her.
"You're sitting with me."' She says, as she gives you her untouched cup of corn, setting it down on your tray.
"Thanks." You smile at her, in which she returned.
😊
