You weren't one for scary novels, or scary anything for that matter.
But as soon as you closed your novel after reading the last page, you couldn't help but feel bummed about it because you have now read every novel that was in your collection, you even read everything that Taylor had, resulting you needed to find something new to read before you let your insanity take over. As reading was your main hobby, it kept you occupied from going insane. Especially when Taylor was out on tour and you were home by yourself. She had two more months left of tour and you needed to keep yourself busy for the amount of time. That was when you had decided to call up one of your friends and ask if she might have something you could read. She did, but the books she had were all from Stephen King. You politely declined her offer and started thinking of something else you could do to get your hands on another novel to read. You were really missing Taylor, you were sitting at your kitchen table, drinking some tea as the thought came to you. The public library was near you and you could always just go and find something to bring home with you.
However, the library was momentarily closed until the next day, so you made that to be the first thing you do on your agenda. After you had finished your tea, you and Taylor Skyped with each other as you did every night until you were ready for bed.
The minute you had stepped in the library, you were astonished to see all the books the library had carried. It was huge and even though you had been here a few times before, the sight of it takes your breath away every time. You didn't know where to begin so you spent two hours of your time in search of something new and instead of just bring home one book, you had a handful of them as you brought them out to your car. On the way home, you stopped to get some of your favorite snacks to munch on as you read.
It took longer than expected, because by the time you've reached home, it was dark outside as you carried your items inside with you. You set the books down on your nightstand and changed into something more warm and comfortable before settling into your shared bed. As always, you randomly picked up one of your books without looking to see which you had chosen to read first. You didn't notice your mistake in checking out a Stephen King novel earlier until it was too late.
Because you were in awe of everything, you had picked it up without so much of a second long glance.
By the time we're halfway through the first chapter, chills had taken over your whole body as you realized what you were reading. Closing the book, you examined it over and when you saw the author's name on it, your phone went off, indicating that it was time for another Skype call with Taylor.
During the call, you explained to her about your mix up and she couldn't help but let out a small laugh.
"I love you, Y/n."
"I love you too, Taylor." You say, your conversing lasted until you felt it was time for you to call it a night and go to bed.
