Cassy
That night, Ellis and I spent the rest of it talking. After the-how do I say this, uhm, first kiss-yes, my first kiss at the age of 28! I'm a loser I know but... All I know is that first kisses are supposed to be enchanting and heart fluttering. Well, I got that part right so I'm not a total loser.
Anyway, I've thought about everything he's said ever since. I've been thinking about going back to the city and continue writing or perhaps, work. Even if I know publishing companies won't exactly be knocking on my door this time because of the issues that went around.
Two weeks since then, he left the next day we had that moment. He had to sort things in the office and promised he'll be back by today. I'm actually kind of relieved that he finally went back to work and the fact that we were cool about our set-up. I'm not going to lie though, we would do phone calls and all but the last two weeks of not seeing him was hell for me. That's all.
Wait, I can't believe I actually implied that I miss him! Two weeks is long if you ask me.
"Cassidy, dear. I hate to interrupt your daydreaming but I'm afraid a fruit fly might invade that pretty mouth of yours and you choke." Nana snapped me out from my thoughts.
I flicker my eyes towards her and became aware of the state that I was in. I quickly straightened my posture and gave her a sheepish grin.
She chuckled and went, "Sometimes, it doesn't occur to me that you're a public figure already. You're still this little girl I used to see running around the place."
I laughed softly and thought to myself, I wish it didn't bother me being one.
While we were in the middle of talking, my phone buzzed and Ellis' contact icon popped up on my screen. I went on to pick it up and read his message.
Ellis : I'll pick you up by seven ;)
I raise my eyebrows in amusement while my lips curl into a small smile.
To Ellis : eh? Where are you taking me??
Ellis : That's a surprise. Just wear something comfortable. See you in a bit.

Okay, I'm freaking out, it's already six in the evening and I haven't picked out anything to wear yet. I haven't been out for a date-wait is this a date?? Well, we did kiss... Ah! Cassy, stop talking about that you poor loser.
Anyway, I've only been out with Mark for dinners but they were just friendly dates. I would usually wear dresses but what are you supposed to wear when someone tells you to wear something comfortable? Not to mention that that someone is a guy you, uhm, like.
I scramble again through my wardrobe and scan through the clothes. Uh, how about this cropped top? Nope, the color's too bright. This flowery top? Ew, Cassy you could do better. Tee shirt? Plain one? I just kept tossing the clothes on to my bed, worsening the messy state that I'm in.
I think I've wasted too much time on my outfit when Nana knocked on the door. "Dear, Ellis is here."
Great, he's already her and I'm still in my bathrobe.
