Ellis
I decided to go find Cassy tomorrow morning since it was already getting late. I laid flat on my stomach as I stare at the ceiling. I remembered the day Cassy slept here. How she woke up not knowing anything, not recognizing me but it still surprised me of how calm she was at breakfast.
I kept tossing and turning around because I couldn't sleep. My heartbeat was raising on pace and I wasn't liking it. Something bothered me and my mind kept flying towards her. I wanted to know how she was doing but she wasn't responding to any of my texts and calls, and it was driving me crazy thinking. I didn't even know why.
I checked the time and it was two in the morning. As much as I wanted to sleep it all out, something inside me was telling me to go after her, now. I groaned and stood up, going out of my room. I called James to borrow his truck. After a few rings he picked up, his voice groggy.
"What are you calling for at this hour?" he hissed,
"Let me borrow your pick-up truck." I sheepishly grinned through the line.

"Where are you even going at this hour?" James asked, tossing me his keys while he tucked his other hand on his jacket.
"I'll bring it back to you in one piece." I said and climbed on the truck.
He shook his head, "Whatever, dude. Just be careful." He yawned and I back out of his place.
I flickered the head lights as a sign of thank you to him since I couldn't use the horn at this hour of the day. I might invite complaints on James' door. I stepped on the gas and drove into the streets. I searched the place on Google Maps and it was two and a half hours of travel from the city.
I passed through the roads and slowly watched as the city lights grow faint. As I left, I gradually sped up my pace in aim to beat the travel time on the way there.
After hours of travel along the serene streets, I think I finally reached the place but I had to look for the beach house, it shouldn't take long since Sarah said it was the only beach house around the place.
I couldn't stop and ask anyone knowing that everyone would still be sleeping at this hour. I stepped on the gas lightly, taking note of the place. I turn a left and as I neared, I noticed a brown house residence. It was surrounded by walls and on each corner rested a lamp that dimly lit the place.
I carefully turned the engine off and hopped off of the truck. I slowly neared the gate and noticed that it wasn't guarded so I pressed on the buzzer. I was guessing no one would answer me since it was still sleeping hours. I'm regretting coming here at this hour. For all I know, I'm knocking on Trump's door.
I made a face after making a joke. Could you be more humorous, Clarke? I should really leave the joking to Jo Koy, after all that's his job.
I lightly push the gate and it was open. I recognized Cassy's car parked inside when I took a peek. Giving me the confirmation I needed. She's here.
I cautiously pushed the gate more and welcomed myself inside. The place really is a beach house. It wasn't as big as Cassy's house though but it looked like it was built years ago. It had lamps around the place but it wasn't that bright. One side of the house that was facing the beach had glass exteriors but it wasn't that dark out because of the lights so it wasn't scary.
I looked around the place and carefully made my way towards the sea as I felt the breeze. My eyes landed on a small frame sitting by the bay. I was certain that it was her staring at the open sea. I took my shoes and socks off and padded my way on the sand towards her.
