Mistakes
The night was long and hectic. If it weren't for the bubbles floating around and the giggles of the children holding their cartoonized balloons, exhaustion would have completely knock me out.
They have no clue who he is, maybe because even when the Hermedillas are modest, they are still pretty much inaccessible.
They flocked in front of the food truck while trying to strike a conversation with the Hermedilla heir, and I admit that I am slightly amazed how he did not shut off their small chats. He would only smile politely at the girls, but he talked and laughed with the elderlies.
As much as I hate to say this, he was actually... pleasant and agreeable. That's what I've noticed about Donya Aquina, too. I'm afraid I might have judged them a little too much.
I heard his corporation will be established abroad, not here in the Philippines so he works at night.
Ikaw 'yong anak ni Agnes?" the old woman asked.
I smiled at them and nodded.
"Hmm. May pakiramdam akong Hermedilla 'yan.
He was under a lamppost, tall and imposing. His left hand rested on his weight as he talked to someone over his phone. Even with his simple gestures, the fluidity of his movements really catches my eyes. It's something that I rarely see in boys my age nowadays.
I froze when our eyes effortlessly met. He pursed his lips while looking at me.
I cleared my throat and gave the old woman her change.
