Back Out
"Tell me when you and Ninang need anything," bilin ni Russel.
I smiled at him and nodded.
Russel looked like he wanted to say something, but pursed his lips in the end.
Mabilis itong mawala. Mabilis itong masayang. Most of the time, you wouldn't even notice it passing by. So you end up surprised that the chances have gone by. The worst case scenario is... you regret it.
"I wouldn't know by now. But I think I'll be in Manila the whole summer. Maraming trabahong kailangang asikasuhin. At..." he trailed off when he caught himself.
"I'll visit when I'm free. Don't miss me too much," mapaglaro siyang ngumiti sa akin, ngunit maging iyon ay hilaw pa rin.
"I gotta go," namamaos niyang sinabi at tumalikod na.
Her pearl choker matched her white flowy dress perfectly swaying along with her gracious movements.
"Hijo," Donya reached out for Russel.
Tiim-bagang si Russel na lumingon sa kanya. He was about to snob her but our eyes met. I gave him a persuasive look. He sighed softly and turned to his mother again.
I don't like the idea of riding the chopper without checking it beforehand. I always get worried."
Russel smirked mockingly. "I have been riding the chopper since I was high school and you're telling me this now?"
His glaring eyes softened.
"I'll go ahead," marahang sinabi ni Russel.
"U-Uh, alright. Take care, son... and... if you don't mind, please call me every now and then," Donya chuckled nervously.
"I'm fine. I'll have Kuya Lucilio drop by this afternoon to check on me."
Ngumiti ako at tumango.
"It wasn't your fault, hija. It was my fault. I made a mistake years ago and I'm paying for it until now," she sighed heavily. "I'm sorry for putting you in that position."
