"She's not stable, I mean you can't upset her. Don't, I mean. Shawn is her everything, and you can't change that. Alright?" Nash was talking to somebody. I knew it was his voice. But I couldn't see him. Maybe because my eyes were closed. I jerked them open and saw him on the edge of the couch. He was on the phone, his eyes shut tight. He had to be talking about me. Who else was not stable around here? "No, she's asleep. Yeah, I'll tell her. You too, bye." His eyes opened slowly and he smiled at me. "Um, Elizabeth is upstairs. I'll go get her." His hands shook as he lifted himself onto his feet.
"No. Were you talking to Casen? Where is he?" I leapt over the couch and caught his arm. "What happened?"
He sighed before saying, "He got pissed last night and left for some reason. We got back and saw him gone, I called him and he told me that he had no idea you were taken. He likes you or something, anyway he left and went home, he said he wasn't interested in being friends anymore. I'm sorry, Mykenna. I don't know what else to say." Nash's eyes barely met mine before he looked up the stairs to see Elizabeth.
"What's going on? Your phone has been buzzing up her for a while now, by the way." She came down and handed it to me, smiling. "Lunch, anyone? You slept a long time, young lady. I ordered pizza." Her eyes widened at the thought as he turned back to Nash. "Let's all just come upstairs and hang out. Too dreary down here. Carry me." She climbed on his back and they were gone from my sight quickly.
I scrolled through my phone to see a lot of Instagram notifications and a few texts. There were already six thousand likes on her photo, which actually wasn't that big of a deal for her. She gained tons of followers after she started dating Nash, and people loved her. I guess it wasn't that bad of a photo, but damn I can only get about a thousand considering half of the world's media thinks I broke Shawn's heart. Not exactly a way to bring in teenage followers. I didn't dare look at the comments. I jumped to my texts, all from Shawn. Oh shit, Shawn. I hadn't even texted him yesterday. He must be worried. I began reading the eight texts.
Hey, how are you doing?
Are you okay?
Why aren't you responding? I'm just checking in on you
Who's in that picture? Casen? The guy from Cam's apartment?
There better not be anything crazy going on, text me back before I start assuming the worst
Do you guys have something going on? I can't fucking believe this
Kenna, seriously, answer
I'm coming down there right now, I'll beat his ass
Wait what? Did he think I was cheating on him? No fucking way. He had to be kidding. I ran up the stairs to Elizabeth. "Did Shawn text you? Did you tell him anything about Casen and I? He thinks I'm cheating on him. He's coming down here, I think."
"What? No, I didn't say anything. He's coming? Oh my gosh, okay. Call him and tell him it's nothing. I can too if he doesn't believe you. What a drama queen." She finished, fishing her phone from her small purse. I dialed his number and put it on speaker.
Hello? Shawn?
Where's he at? You guys still together? He spent the night I bet. I'm stopping at my apartment then I'm coming over. Don't try to hide anything, I'm already off the plane.
No, he left, I mean last night, we didn't do anything. He's gone please calm down nothing happened really. Go back home, please.
