Chapter 33

Vhastiana's point of view

Mabilis na umikot ang oras at umaga na naman. Maaga akong naligo kahit na sumasakit ang buong katawan ko dahil sa period. Ito talaga ang tunay na dahilan kung bakit hindi ako nag participate sa intramurals dahil alam kong aabutan ako ng period. Ayoko namang matalo ang laro dahil sa akin.

Matapos ang pagsagot ko kay Gremlin kagabi ay pinagalitan ako ni kuya noong umuwi na ang nasabing lalaki. Alam kong nag-alala lang si kuya sa akin pero I'm an adult now. Hindi na ako bata para hindi malaman kung anong ginagawa ko sa buhay. My parents support me to be in a relationship with him but not my brother. I expected this to happen and of course there's more. Ghetto will going to scold me later.

I'm not blind to see Gremlin's effort to win my heart. At first, I was a bit hesitant to be his girlfriend but I felt that his love for me isn't a joke of fake. It's really authentic and pure. As time goes by, I didn't realized that I have a feelings for him. We were both sincere so why not give this a chance?

"Vhastiana anak? Do you want to go with me?" mom ask.

"Gremlin is going to fetch me mom. Thank you for offering me a ride." I answered politely.

"Finally, you open your heart again. I think you might become a widow in the future." mom casually said.

"I'm not going to get married mom. You're exaggerating things."

"I'm just telling the truth anak. If you are facing something don't forget that we're just here to support you okay? I don't want history to repeat." there's a hint of worrying in her voice.

"Okay mom. Drive safely." sabi ko nalang. I don't want to remember what's in the past. Let bygones be bygones.

"Okay. I'll be in the office. If you are feeling unwell just call me."

"Got it."

Nagpaalam si mommy na mauna ng pumusok sa university. Kakatext lang din ni Gremlin na papunta na siya. I prepared breakfast for him and I waited for him so that we can eat together. I pity him for not eating a healthy foods. There's no one to take good care of him that's why I am worried.

"Good morning."

Automatic akong lumingon kay Gremlin nung marinig ang boses niya. Nakasuot siya ng department shirt na black and red at tsaka maong na pantalon with a pair of sneakers.

"How's my beautiful girlfriend?" he asked again. There's a bit sweetness but the seriousness and authority of his voice is ahead in points.

"Don't use flowery words. You're already ruining my day." I said angrily.

"Sulky in the morning? I understand you boss." masiglang aniya.

"Who is your boss?" tanong ko.

"You. I'm willing to be your slave for the rest of our lives."

"Talagang mas pinapainit mo pa ang ulo ko ah? Let's eat breakfast."

"Masusunod kamahalan." biro niya pa.
