Evie Pov
The elevator lurched to a stop once we got to the fifth floor and the doors opened as i stepped out.

I stopped a looked around, something felt a bit off about this floor but cant put my finger on it.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and i glanced up to Allen.

He nodded his head twards dad who was walking down the hall already.

I followed along and stopped as my dad knocked on the door, it opened a few moments later.

A woman stood ther, long brown hair up in a tight bun, and she dressed just the right amount of, formal casual wear.

"Good afternoon! You must be Mr. Rogers, nice to meet you" the woman greeted us and shook my dads hand as he smiled at her.

"Nice to meet you too Dr. Makeen, this is my daughter Evie" my dad introduced me.

"Hi Evie, why dont you come on in and we can get started" Dr. Makeen motioned for me to enter.

I meerly gave her a small twitch of my lip and enterd the room.

It was spacey, a work desk at the wall, fluffy rug arcoss the middle of the floor and large windows for the wall at the end of the room.

Two relaxing chairs sat next to the window facing across from each other with a coffee table in between.

"So Evie" i froze at the voice, its not real, its not real, i told myself as i slowly turned around and instead of Dr. Makeen, Jessie stood in her place smirking at me.

"Shall we get started?" He asked and took a step twards me and i shuddered back.

I shook my head and squinted my eyes to get the image away.

"Evie? Are you alright?" I heard a soft voice, i opened my eyes to see no Jessie and it was once again Dr. Makeen.

"Yes, im fine" i sighed.

Dr. Makeen shut the door, my dad and Allen had already left.

"Well go ahead and take a seat and we can begin" she gestured for me to sit.

I made my way to the chairs and flopped down in one as Dr. Makeen took a seat in the opposite one.

"So, your having nightmares" Makeen stated.

"Mhm" i hummed in response, i had a bit of a dismissive tone but she didn't catch on to it.

"Your father informed me that you didn't exactly like the idea of coming here and new you didn't want to talk so he told me what has been happening" Makeen said and my eyes widened.

"I have it all here in my notes, so lets see" she picked up a note book and i eyed it.

"So first of all, you start screaming in the middle of the night, stuff like, 'let me go', 'leave me alone'" she stated "can you tell me what your dreams are about?" She asked.

"No" i spoke dismissively.

"If you dont tell me, then i cant help you" Makeen tried to reason.

"Exactly, i dont want your help...you cant help" i murmured the last part.

"Your father said that you used to have this problem when you were thirteen, after you were attacked my an animal" she pressed forward.

She seemed to be asking a question though, like she didn't believe it was an animal.

I gave her a cross between a glare and a confused face.

"Yes, i keep dreaming that the animal attacks me again" i told her, an obvious lie but i do a good job a it after lying for the past six years.
