The engine hummed as i drove down the rode after the Kimmel perfomance.

The lights from the cars and passing buildings lit up the darkness.

I directed my attention to a sleeping Evie in the seat next to me, breathing softly.

She had a long day and i dont blame her for passing out in the car, i had to keep her awake untill we left because she almost fell asleep while there.

Then the sound of a phone ringing disrupted the silence.

Evie's phone sounded and her brother Allen's contact was shown on the screen.

Evie mumbled and i quickly grabbed her phone and put it to my ear, answering it and Evie relaxed again.

"Hello?" I said softly not to wake her up.

"Corbyn? Why are you answering Evie's phone?" Allen asked.

"Because she's asleep, were in the car right now and i didn't want to wake her" i told him "is there something you wanted to say to her?"

"Well i thought she would have been home, and i know she doesn't like to be alone so i was checking up on her" Allen answered "i saw her on your Instagram being carried away by one of you band mates over apple juice, care to explain?"

Allen's voice was humored, he didn't seem upset about it and i laughed.

"Yes well Daniel loves his apple juice and apparently she tried to get some of it and well, you saw what happened" i laughed softly.

"So were are you going then?" Allen asked.

"Back to my place, Evie said she stay over and i will drop her off at school tomorrow" i informed him.

"Oh well, thansk for that. I think she would be better thay way because she cant handle being alone, incase you didn't know" Allen said.

"Oh i know, she told me all about that last week" i said.

"She did? Thats odd, she doesn't like to discuss things like that with anyone, she must be very comfortable around you" Allen said.

Well thats not exactly true, she was terrified of me and didn't want anything to do with me before and the only reason she told me was because i knew she was lying and i tols he ri was trying to protect her.

"I guess so" i smiled softly.

"I'll let you go now, i have to get back to the guys" Allen said and we exchanged goodbyes and i set Evie's phone back on her lap.

A bit later i pulled into the driveway of the house and Zach was sitting in his car on his phone.

I got out and he noticed me, getting out himself.

"Can you get the door for me?" I asked and walked around the car to Evie's door.

"Sure, why?" Zach asked and i opened up the door, picking up Evie bridle style.

"Oh" Zach said in realization and we walked up to the door.

Evie felt light in my arms, not a challenge at all for me considering she is a small girl and i have supernatural strength.

Zach held the door opened for me and i walked in, headed to the living room.

I got to the couch, setting Evie down on it with her head on a pillow and grabbed a blanket, laying it over her.

"Wow, she is out cold" Zach shook his head in amusement.

"She practically passed out in the car" i laughed while i nelt in front of her sleeping figure.
