Because it leaves me only with my thoughts
From pouring rain to screaming voices
My mind is never silent

Time is ticking
Agonizingly slow
The silence is scary
Every sound breaks it but is frowned on
For once I yearn to use my own voice
Because only distraction will quiet these thoughts
Please somebody break this silence

An empty stomach burning
Frantic heart is beating
Gasping but my lungs aren't breathing
Panic on the inside but calm on the outside
Because nobody dares to break the silence.
