It begins.

Huff! I'm finally going home. I miss those fuckers.

Cody is driving me. He's the sophmore with a car. He lives in Atlanta, which was convenient for us both.

Indra's back in his condo too. I couldn't decide if I wanted to see him when we first get there or go straight home. I hope I figure it out before we get to Charlotte.

Indra:

I sighed and laid on my couch.

"Back home." I muttered.

Luc is coming home. I was excited to see him.

In these two years it seems Luc has matured in the face a little, but he still looks the same too. Strange.

The cats jumped on my stomach and rested with me.

Once I was relaxed someone knocked on the door. I sat up. Must be Luc.

I got up and walked to the door. Something was wrong. I yanked it open and out of a horror show was Luc.

His face, neck, and left arm was covered in blood.

"I think I scared your neighbors." He said in a small voice. He fell onto me and I fell back.

"Luc!" I gasped. "What happened?"

I leaned him against the wall. Glass was deep inside the gashes on his head. I should heal him.

Blood inched down the side of his face and onto his shirt. He was conscious, but not all there.

"Here." I bit my hand and it bled.

"No." Luc said. "Take me to a hospital."

"I don't think they can help."

He pushed my hand back and groaned im pain, "hospital. Now."

"Okay." I helped him to his feet and put his arm around my shoulders.

We walked slowly down the hallway.

"What happened?" I asked as we got to the elevators.

"Car accident." His answers were terse.

"How did you get here?"

"Walked." He answered once we got on the elevator. I don't think he knew what he was doing.

"Someone was with you right? Your parents?" I questioned.

"No. Friend." Luc began to breathe hard, pant. "I think...he's still there."

"I wish you'd let me heal you."

"I'm certain I have... A broken arm. I want doctors."

"Besides...Cody knows I was with him. If I showed up all healed it'd raise some questions."

My powers...

"No powers." He said. He knows me too well.

I put him in my car.

I drove. "Luc how did the accident happen?"

"A truck swerved into our lane. Hit us head on."

I groaned. Maybe a drunk driver.

We got to the hospital and I walked him in.

"Are your parents working?" I asked.

"Don't know. Probably."

Luc reached up and touched the glass in his head.

"Don't-"

"Ow." He groaned.
