Once you all had gotten out of the cart and made your way into the city you all had to walk down a flight of stairs with you walking just behind Levi. It was jst You Levi and Nick due to Levi wanting to expose Nick to something the captain dragging you with.
Levi kicks Nick's back when he pauses at the bottom of the staircase "No one said stop. A rolling stone gathers no moss."
"This is..." Nick trails off as he sees the people wander past.
"Maybe you expected to see something quaint?" Levi questions darkly "This is what happens when the walls give." You look around at all the distraught faces, women children and men all looking scared for their lives some of the children couldn't keep their tears at bay, some of the adults were no better and some people were barley keeping it together.
Nick moves away a horrified look on his face, you reach out and grab his shoulder "No. Take it in, holy man. These are the faces of human beings who've lost everything they've ever had."
"Human beings you and your kind abandoned, incidentally. Hard to look at, I'd imagine. But if the church had it's way this would be all of us." Levi takes over for you talking right into the priest ear, making sure Levi making sure he was heard "Titans would pour in and make a feast of what's left. Shoveling man, woman, and child down their putrescent gullets. All of humanity digested as one."
"Captain." You pause insuring the priest gets anther good look "We need to go." Levi shoves the priest forward again.

The three of you arrive where the scout regiment has set up shop for the time being. As you three enter Hange walks forward seeing the dejected look Nick wares.
"So? See the light yet, by any chance?" Nick looks up at Hange before looking back at his feet and you roll your eyes, "Oh goddamn it! Make up your mind!" Hange yells out, leaning dangerously close to Nick in her anger. "This isn't some spiritual test! Lives are on the line!"
Nick continues to look at the ground but he does speak "Alas, I have no choice. Neither myself or the others who believe are at liberty to divulge the truth."
Hange draws back anger clear on her face "Fat lotta help you are! Thanks for keeping us company! It's been fun!" Hange turns to storm away but Nick speaks up again.
"I'd offer my help if I could, but a duty as great as this one is beyond me. The order of the walls abides by the sacred will of our faith commands us to obey."
"Who's 'Sacred Will'? You mean like god or something?"
"I can't answer that. But what I can do is provide you with a name. An individual the sacred will in its divine wisdom instructed us to monitor."
