"Eren." You call out, wearily watching the boy from where you stood beside Mikasa.
"No! Don't do this!" Eren doesn't even look up as he bites into his hand over and over and over again. Each bite more ferocious and desperate than the last. "Not now!"
"Eren, stop!" Mikasa calls out, her reaching toward the boy, desperation way to apparent in her tone.
You stand up, you walking towards Hannes who's way too close to the titan for comfort, hands going towards your swords only for you to step as you bring them out. They're broken. Where the hell they broke? You have no clue but this was your last pair. "Mikasa!" You call out in alarm you crouching next to her as you inspect hers. Broken too.
"Ah, shit." You huff out. Hannes would just have to handle this one on his own. "Mika--" You pause as you feel a warm liquid splatter across your cheek. You raise a hand and smear a little that fell across the shell of your ear onto your finger. Before bringing it up to your face for conformation. I see.
You glance over at Mikasa to see her starring at the titan in horror before quickly turning her attention to Eren as his knees hit the ground, Eren kneeling over quickly after and begins sobbing, sobbing that quickly turns into laughter however he is still very much crying. Mikasa walks over to him and you watch the two from where you were.
"Eren-"
"Look at you." Eren screams out. The anger he's feeling blatantly obvious "You haven't grown up one goddamn bit! You're still as useless as you've ever been! Nothing's changed!" Eren goes back to his grief filled laughter before yelling again. "I'm sorry, mother. I still can't do anything. No matter how hard I try, I'm still just a worthless little kid." You soften at that... you could relate.
"Eren." Mikasa get's on her knees next to Eren and you turn to let the two be, As you do you catch sight of a titan hiding behind a tree a few meters away from the three of you. Oh fuck me.
You twirl the knife in your hand as you stare at the ugly beat that was slowly crawling toward you. I knew I was gonna die here. A look of disgust crosses your face as the titan reaches out toward a tree branch, it fully stepping out towards you now.
As it inches ever closer Eren let's out another yell, a loud smack following it. In that same moment the titan from before snatches you up in it's hand. Quickly after, something akin to what a lightning strike feels like travels from where the titan was holding you and shoots up your spine. You letting out a groan of pain before you go limp in the titans hold. The titan quickly drops you, you landing with another groan of pain onto the ground.
