Chapter 22

Hello everyone. Merry Christmas. My Christmas present to everyone is a chapter, and it's a long one. I hope you are having a good day. I can't believe I'm posting this chapter on my new computer! I hope you enjoy it.

Andy's 28 Weeks and 1 Day... In a couple of days, Lucas is asking Vic to marry him. Andy decided since Maya was off, she wanted to ask Lucas if she could tell Maya.

Andy's Text to Lucas: Hey. I was wondering if I could tell Maya about you and Vic since she's off the next shift, and I could use some help. I won't tell her unless you say okay.

After Andy texted Lucas, Robert got home, and he was so excited to see her. When he got home, he made breakfast, and they both went back to bed. While she was resting, she got a text from Lucas, and when she woke up, she checked it.

Lucas's Text: Yeah, that's cool. She just can't tell anyone. Thanks for asking.

Andy's 28 Weeks and 2 Days... Tomorrow, Andy is helping Lucas propose to Vic. When she woke up she was anxious but excited. She knew that she has to tell, Maya today about Lucas and Vic so that way, they could get and prepare everything for the proposal tomorrow. So she called Maya and asked if she could come over, and Maya said yes, so Andy headed to Maya's place. When Andy arrived at Maya's place, she knocked and Maya let her in.

Andy and Maya Conversation... Maya: Hey. What do you need? Andy: I need to tell you something crazy and big. Maya: Okay. What is it? Andy: It's about Vic and Ripley. Maya: What about them? Andy: They've been together since before I went to Montana and he wants to propose. Maya: What? This is a joke. Andy: Nope. I'm helping plan it. So, I need your help getting ready tomorrow. Robert gave Vic and Travis a half-day, and they get off about noon. Maya: I guess I can help. I can come over tomorrow morning, about the time of shift. Andy: Okay. Maya: So, what's new with you? Andy: The need to find this baby a name. Just so you know, Travis knows about the baby, and he's part of the proposal plan. Maya: Okay. Good to know. Is Vic going to be mad we all know? Andy: I don't know, but I hope not. So I was thinking, we have you and Travis hid somewhere where Vic won't see you. Lucas gave me the idea that he's going to propose in the nursery because if he does that, it will be easier for him to stay hidden until he proposes. When he gets down on one knee, y'all will come to stand in the hallway, unseen. Maya: Okay. This works for me. Who knows about this? Andy: Robert, me, Lucas, Travis, and you. Maya: Okay.: End of Conversation

After that, Andy and Maya talked for about an hour, and then Andy headed home to Robert. When she got home, Robert was making dinner, so they just talked for a little bit.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Robert: Are you excited about tomorrow? Andy: Yes, I am. Today, I realized that our daughter needs a name. Robert: Yes, she does. Do you have any name ideas? Andy: So many. Robert: We'll go thru them in a couple of days and find her a good name. Andy: Okay. I can't believe I'm planning a proposal, and it's happening tomorrow. Robert: Me too. Andy: I will call you after, and let you know how it goes. Robert: I would love that. Andy: How many of Lucas's weddings have you been to? Robert: All of them, and he's been to all of my weddings. Andy: You've only had one wedding. Robert: Yes, but he's coming to my next one. Andy: Aww. Thank you.: End of Conversation After that, they just hanged out and talked for the rest of the evening.

Andy's 28 Weeks and 3 Days... When Andy woke up she got excited. Robert was getting ready for work, and he saw her wake up. So he came over, gave her a kiss, and put his hand on her belly.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Robert: How'd you sleep? Andy: Baby girl wouldn't stop kicking me all night. Robert: Maybe she's a partier. Andy: I hope not. How long till shift? Robert: About an hour. Andy: You're up early. Robert: Yeah. I have an early meeting with Lucas. Andy: Okay. Robert: So, I have to leave five minutes early. Andy: Okay. We have a doctor's appointment in a couple of days for baby girl. Robert: Okay. That's our first appointment here. So, what time is Maya coming over? Andy: About the time of shift. Robert: Okay. Andy: Why does Vic think she and Travis are getting off? Robert: It's just random. Andy: Okay. I love you. Robert: I love you too. Andy: So, Maya and I are going to make the baby's bed, and find a place for her and Travis to hide. Robert: I say, put them in the closet. Andy: That's funny, but also a good idea. Robert: I'm joking, but okay. Andy: I guess I should get up, and get ready for the day. Robert: Okay. I'm going to go make coffee. Andy: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, Andy went and got ready, and Robert went downstairs. Andy came out before he left, and told him goodbye. Then Robert headed to work, and Maya showed up.

Later in the Day... Lucas arrived about 30 minutes early before the shift ended. When Lucas arrived, Andy put Lucas and Maya in the nursery. To Andy's surprise, Lucas actually brought work he needed to get done. About 15 minutes later, Vic and Travis's shift ended, and they started heading over to Andy's. Thankfully, Travis arrived first, so that way, he could hide in the nursery with Lucas and Maya. Everyone has parked on different parts of the street. Travis barely made it inside with Vic seeing him, and then Travis went to the nursery. When Vic knocked, Andy got excited. She also knew that it was going to get exciting soon.

So Andy invited Vic in, and they sat down on the couch. Andy and Vic Conversation... Vic: How are you doing? Andy: Good. Vic: How long have you been back? Andy: About a couple of weeks. Vic: That's a long time, not to tell your family. Andy: I know. I'm still trying to deal with stuff that happened in Montana. Vic: What happened? Is this why you aren't captain? Andy: Yes, it is. Ripley sent me down there for training, but also for a guy. Ripley thought we would click, and we did. Vic: Really? That's great. What happened? (Andy stands up, and shows Vic her belly.) Vic: You're pregnant? Andy: Yes. I'm 28 weeks and 3 days, with a daughter. Vic: Wow. Andy: Yep. I'm also engaged, to her father, and in love with him. Vic: Wow. Andy: This is what I tell everyone. I choose not to be a captain because it was my choice. I have my true love and a daughter. These two things, have given me more joy than I could have gotten being captain. Vic: I would guess. Who's the father? Andy: Our new captain. Vic: What? Andy: Yep. Vic: He looks so scary. Andy: Robert's the most caring and kind man I have ever meet. Come see her nursery. Vic: Okay. (Andy has had a phone call on with them, so that way Maya and Travis know when to get in the closet.) Vic: Does she have a name? Andy: Not yet. Vic: Okay. (Andy and Vic are outside the nursery.) Andy: I actually have a surprise for you. Vic: Why? (Andy opens the door, and Lucas is on his knee, with a ring out.) Vic: What's going on?: End of Conversation

Proposal Speech: *Vic, *Before I met you, I was just a man, who thought he was going to be alone for the rest of my life because things didn't work out in my life. *When we were fighting at the skyscraper when I looked into your eyes, I felt an instant connection, but I'm not sure if you did. *Every second I see you, *I fall deep and deeper in love with you, *This love I feel makes me want to shout at the top of my lungs, *We've gone through a lot in our relationship, but the one thing I know is that, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. *I was angry when you told Travis about us, but I see now that you need people in your corner, and you are a person in my corner, *Vic, with you I know who I am, so will you marry me?

Vic: Yes, I will marry you!!!!
