Chapter 32

(Robert Comes Back: Sunday) Andy's 32 Weeks and 3 Days... After a little bit, Robert went to the station to see the team, and he stopped at home for a little bit. Lucas had to take Robert home, so that way he could get his car. When Lucas and Robert got home and came inside, Robert was surprised to see how clean his house was and then they talked for a bit. 

Conversation... Robert: This house hasn't been this clean for a while. Lucas: Yesterday, Andy asked for us to clean the house, and do a couple of other things. Robert: That was sweet of her. I should get back. Lucas: Okay. I'll walk you out. Robert: Okay. (Lucas walks him out.) Robert: The carseat bases are installed in both cars. Who did that? Lucas: I did actually. Robert: Really? Lucas: Yeah. I volunteered to install it, because I haven't done one, except every year when I recertify. Robert: Thank you so much. We'll talk later. Lucas: Okay. Bye.: End of Conversation After that, Robert headed back to the station to see the team.

When he arrived at the station, Maya was in the captain's office doing paperwork. So, he went in there to check on the station and to see the team.

Conversation... Maya: Hello Sir. How's it going? Robert: Hello. Pretty well. How's it going here? Maya: Good. Vic, Travis, and I have a question for you. May I go get them? Robert: Yes, you may. (Maya goes and gets them.) Vic and Travis: Hello, Sir. Robert: Hello. What do you guys need? Vic: So we were thinking, that we would like to throw Andy and you a baby shower in the near future. Maya: We were thinking maybe in a month. That will give everybody enough time to get presents and for us to plan it. Robert: Okay. I think she would like that. Maya: It's going to be a surprise baby shower, but we'll help her get ready. Robert: Okay. Just keep me in the loop, please. Maya and Vic: Okay. Robert: By the way, Andy gets to go home tomorrow. So, I'll keep you guys updated. Travis: Thank you, sir. Robert: I'm going to go back to Andy. I'll see you guys later.: End of Conversation After that, Robert headed back to the hospital to be with Andy.

Andy's 32 Weeks and 4 Days... Today, Andy gets to go home, and she's so excited. She's so tired of being in the hospital, and she really misses her bed. Around ten in the morning, Carina came into exam Andy, to make sure that she hasn't progressed anymore, and she hadn't.

Conversation... Carina: Hello, you guys. I'm going to do a quick exam to see if you've progressed any more, and if you haven't, you are free to go home. Andy: Okay. (Carina exams Andy.) Carina: So, it seems like you haven't progressed anymore, which means you can go home. When you go home you will be on restricted bed rest, and you will now have weekly appointments and exams until you deliver. You can move around the house, but you can't drive. However, you can go hang out at the station. You also, can't be alone for a long time, because there is a chance your contractions could start again. Robert: Okay. Carina: So you guys are good to go, but I need to do some paperwork first.: End of Conversation After that, Andy and Robert got ready to go home. They packed up everything, waited for the paperwork to go thru, and then they headed home.

When they got home, Andy went and sat on the couch, and Robert cooked her something to eat. So they ate and watched movies all day. After that, they headed to bed.

Andy's 32 Weeks and 5 Days... When Andy woke up this morning, Robert had his hand on her belly, and that made her feel safe. Tomorrow, Robert goes back to work, and Andy has no clue what's going to happen. Since Andy can't be home alone, because the contractions could start again, she knew that Robert and she needed to make a plan for tomorrow.

Andy was awake for about ten minutes when Robert woke up. Conversation... Robert: Hey. How did you sleep? Andy: Good. Much better in this bed, than in the hospital bed. Robert: Well that's good. Andy: So, how are we going to do work? Robert: I was thinking I might bring you to work when no one is off, and when someone's off, you would stay home with them. Andy: Okay. This is going to be a fun few weeks. Robert: Yes, it is. So I guess, you will be coming to work tomorrow. Andy: Yep. I can help with the paperwork. Robert: Nope, you will stay on my couch and not move. Tomorrow, Dean will be in the station the whole time. Andy: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, they just had a lazy day to themselves. They watched movies, Robert made dinner, and they were together.

Andy's 32 Weeks and 6 Days... Today, Robert is back at work, and Andy's going to work with him.

Andy woke up, a couple of minutes after Robert did. When he saw that she was awake, and he came over and they talked for a couple of minutes. Conversation... Robert: Morning. How are you feeling? Andy: Tired, our daughter kicked me in the ribs all night. Robert: I'm sorry. You have to get up this morning and get ready to go. Andy: Yeah, I know. Give me a minute, and I'll get ready to go. Robert: Okay.: End of Conversation

After that, Andy got ready and they were now out the door to work. It felt strange to Robert going to work with Andy with him, because they don't do that very often. When they got to work, Andy went into Robert's office, and Robert did roll call.
