Chapter 27

Hello everyone. Here's chapter 27. I'm moving sometime in the next couple of weeks, so this is the last chapter until February. 

Andy's 30 Weeks and 1 Day... When Robert got home, Andy was asleep on the couch, so when he came thru the front door, she woke up.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Robert: Hey. What are you doing on the couch? Andy: I couldn't sleep, because I couldn't get comfy. Robert: I'm sorry. I'm going to go lay down for a couple of hours, I'm exhausted. Andy: Okay. I'll come with you. Long night? Robert: Yep. Two huge fires. Andy: I'm sorry but jealous. I can't wait to fight fires again. Robert: I can't wait to fight fires with you. Did I ever tell you that Vic and Lucas are coming over tonight for dinner? Andy: No, but Elle and Chase are also coming over. Robert: Okay. Apparently, we are having a triple date tonight. Andy: What are we doing for dinner? Robert: We could do lasagna. Andy: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, they just rested for a little bit, until Robert needed to start dinner.

When Robert started dinner, Andy called Elle to let her know that Lucas and Vic will be joining them for dinner. Andy and Elle's Phone Call... Andy: Hey. What are you doing? Elle: Just hanging with Chase at the hotel. Andy: Okay. I wanted to let you know that Vic and Lucas are joining us for dinner. Elle: Firefighter Vic? Andy: Yeah. It's a long story. I will tell y'all when I come and pick you guys up. Elle: Okay. Andy: Do you mind if I pick you guys up early? Elle: No. I would love to hang out with you guys. Andy: Okay. I'll be there at about 3:30. Elle: Okay. I can't wait to hear that story. Bye. Andy: Bye.: End of Conversation After that, Andy hanged with Robert for a while, until it was about three in the afternoon.

A Couple of Hours Later... Andy got ready to go about 2:45. She took a shower and got dressed. When she was leaving, Robert was napping, so she left him a note on his bedside table. The note told him that she was going to get Chase and Elle and that she should be back in less than an hour. She signed the note with the time, and then she left. She left around three in the afternoon.

When Andy was on the way to the hotel, she called Elle to let her know that she was on her way. When Andy got to the hotel, they were in the lobby waiting for her.

Andy, Elle, and Chase Conversation... Andy: Hey, y'all. Are you guys good to go? Chase: Yeah. Let's go. Andy: Okay. (After they were in the car for a minute Elle asked a question.) Elle: So what's the story? Andy: It's long. So here it is. Apparently, at the skyscraper fire, there was a connection when she was yelling at him, and a couple of months later they got together. The whole time I was in Montana, they were dating and falling in love. Then, when I and Robert got here, he asked me for help to propose to her. At first, I didn't know how to help, but in the end, I got an idea. So for a couple of weeks, I did a lot of steps. I told Maya, and Travis about the baby, and then with their help, we were able to surprise Vic, and she said yes. The funny part is that I actually hid Travis and Maya in the closet till Vic said yes. Elle: That's so crazy. Andy: I know. So that's what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks. Are you excited to meet Vic and Lucas? Elle: Yeah.: End of Conversation After that, they arrived at the house within a couple of minutes.

Andy got home with Elle and Chase about 3:45 in the afternoon. When they got to Andy and Robert's house, everyone was happy to hang out together. When Andy came in the door, she yelled to let Robert know that they were there. When they came in, Robert was working in the kitchen.

The Conversation... Robert: Hey, y'all. How's it going? Elle: Good. Robert: Lucas and Vic are coming around 4:15. Andy: Okay. Do you want to see the nursery? Elle and Chase: Sure. (They go upstairs to the nursery.) Elle: This is amazing. It's fit for a princess. Andy: Yes, it is. A funny thing is, when I get stressed or worried I will actually come in here and sit in the rocking chair and just think about our daughter. Elle: That's awesome. Andy: Another thing is, Robert won't let me put in the car seat. The thing is that I have been installing car seats since I was 16 years old. Chase: He's protecting you. Andy: I do find it sweet. Let's go back downstairs. Elle: Okay. (They all go downstairs, and sit down on the couch.) Chase: Sir, what do you think of being here in Seattle? Robert: I don't know if you guys know, but I had a wife. She died about nine years ago. She actually died on a street near Station 23. It feels weird being back here, but being here with Andy makes everything better. Andy: Wow. Thank you. I love you. Robert: I love you too.

After that, they all talked for a little bit. Before they knew it, there was a knock at the door, and Andy answered it.

Andy: Hey, Vic. Where's Lucas? Vic: A battalion chief needed something, he'll be here soon. Andy: Okay. Vic, I would like to introduce you to Chase and Elle. Vic: Okay. Hello. Can we talk upstairs real quick, Andy? Andy: Yeah. Let's go to the nursery. Vic: Okay. (They go to the nursery.) Andy: What's up? Vic: Who are Chase and Elle? Andy: They are from the fire academy in Montana. Vic: Okay. I didn't remember who they were. Andy: It's okay. I'm going to introduce them to the team next shift. Vic: Okay. Andy: Let's go back downstairs. Vic: Okay. (They go back downstairs.) Vic: Sorry about that. Hi. I'm Vic. Elle: I'm Elle, and this is my husband, Chase. Vic: How do you know Andy? Elle: We worked at the fire academy together. She trained all the teachers that were there. Vic: Really? Andy: Yes. I did. (Before they knew it they'd been talking until Lucas got there.) Vic: Hey. How are you good? Lucas: Good. Andy: Sir, this is Chase and Elle. They are from the Montana Fire Academy, where I taught. Lucas: Hello, nice to meet y'all. Elle: Nice to meet you.: End of Conversation After that they all hung out, had dinner, and then left. Robert took Elle and Chase to the hotel since Andy was so tired.
