Chapter 11 - Part 2

Before you read any more, please read part 1. This is the second part. I have split these parts, but it's still chapter 11. The conversation below started in part 1.

Andy's 16 Weeks and 3 Days.

Andy, Robert, Pruitt, and Lucas Conversation... PINK INSIDE!! (When Andy and Robert saw that they were shocked. After that Andy said:) Andy: I'm pregnant, and it's apparently a girl. (When Pruitt heard that, he was in shock. After Andy and Robert, hugged one another and said "It's a girl.) Robert: We're having a daughter. Andy: I know. I can't believe it. What do y'all think? Pruitt: I'm just in shock. Andy: We didn't know how to tell you, the last time you were here, so we just didn't. (Both Lucas and Pruitt are quiet.) Andy: I am 16 weeks and 3 days. I decided at my 16-week appointment, that since Lucas was coming to town, I wanted to tell both of you at the same time. So I booked Pruitt a flight, and then I went to the bakery, gave them an envelope with the gender inside, and ordered the cake. Then all we had to do is wait for y'all to arrive. (After that, both Lucas and Pruitt got up, and hugged them.) Lucas: What about the team? Andy: They don't know about Robert, so they don't know about this. I don't want them to know about the baby. Lucas: Okay. (After that, Andy went and got the ultrasound pictures.) Andy: Here are the pictures of our baby girl so far. I have another ultrasound and appointment in a month. Lucas: Okay.: End of Conversation

After that, they hanged out and talked for a couple of hours. After they hanged and talked Lucas took Pruitt back to his hotel.

After everyone left that evening, they went up to their bedroom and laid down beside one another. When they laid down, Robert put his hand on Andy's belly, and they just talked for a while.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Robert: I can't believe that we're having a daughter. Andy: I know. Are you excited? Robert: Yes. Andy: Today, when Lucas mentioned the team, I realized that this baby, our baby girl should grow up with her father in her life, so we need to talk about us either moving to Seattle or staying here. I want our daughter to know her family in Seattle. Robert: Okay. I guess we have a lot to think about. Andy: Yeah, we do. I'm sorry about bringing all this up. Robert: It's alright. Andy: I still can't believe that we're having a daughter. Robert: I know. Now we have to find a name for her. Andy: Yep.: End of Conversation

On the inside, Andy feels guilty that she's hiding this from the team, and she wishes that all these moments would be done, with her family in Seattle.

Time Jump...

Andy's now 17 Weeks and 4 Days... Today the new recruits at the fire academy are about to be trained on their Rapid Intervention Training. Since Andy was specifically hired to train that class, she has decided to go see the class and give them a speech. Andy's also really bored hanging around the house, so she thought along with talking to the recruits, she would also see some of the teachers that she had trained that she had got close with.

Robert already left for his shift, when Andy left for the fire academy. To her surprise when she got dressed, her shirts still fit. Andy was excited to see the people she trained, teach the new generation of firefighters. When she arrived, she stopped by Captain Hopper's office. He was kinda surprised to see her, but he was happy to see her. They caught up for a couple of minutes, then she went out to talk to the new recruits.

Andy's Speech to the new Recruits: Hello everyone. My name is Lieutenant Andy Herrera. I am from Seattle. In Seattle, I have used a lot of these techniques, so I am a master at them. I was looking forward to teaching y'all, but stuff happened. Before y'all got here, I trained all these people behind me, on what to do. So, I will be watching it sometimes. I want y'all to try your hardest.

This course is about a week long. So, if you have questions, ask them, because I have learned, not understanding what you're learning, could cost someone their life. So ask questions.

 If anyone has any questions for me, I will be coming in a couple of times a week. Remember to have fun, but learn this stuff at the same time. The stuff they're teaching you, saved my team a lot, and my fire chief twice, so have fun. Enjoy you're training. I hope everyone has a good day.

After Andy gave that speech, she watched them start training. To her surprise, almost everyone was doing well. She wished at that moment, that she was out there teaching them, but she just watched them.

After she gave that speech, she went and saw Captain Hopper. Andy and Captain Hopper talked for a little bit. While they were talking, Andy asked for a shift, and Captain Hopper agreed. After that, Andy and Captain Hopper talked about Andy's baby. Andy learned that Captain Hopper has three daughters. They talked for a bit until the instructors finished training. After the instructors finished training, Andy went and hanged out with them for a little bit, after a little while she left.
