Chapter 33

Andy's 32 Weeks and 6 Days... Today was Andy's first shift at the station on bedrest. After Robert did roll call, the team did their normal stuff, and once in a while, someone would come to see Andy. It wasn't a busy shift, but it still had a few calls. Every time a call came in, Andy wanted to get up and go with them, but she couldn't. By the end of the day, Andy was extremely bored.

A couple of hours into the shift, Andy was already bored, and she knew that bedrest wasn't going to be fun if she was already bored. However, whenever baby girl kicked, it reminded her why she was going to follow the bedrest rules. Andy was between two spots during the shift. She was either in Robert's office on his couch or in the living room on that couch. Whenever she wasn't in Robert's office he would come to check on her at least once an hour. Today, they had nothing for Andy to do.

During shift: Maya, Vic, Travis, and Robert had a meeting for the planning of Andy's baby shower. They hid the meeting from Andy by saying it was a captain meeting about a call a few days ago.

Conversation... Maya: Morning, sir. Robert: Morning everyone. Maya: Welcome to the first baby shower planning meeting. Who's ready to plan the baby shower? Robert: I am. Before we start planning, I was thinking at the baby shower, I want to surprise Andy and we possibly get married. Everyone who is special in our lives will be there, and I want to be married before our daughter comes. I think that would make the day super special. Everyone: We love it. Vic: There's still more we need to figure out and do. However, we are taking her dress shopping next week sometime, and we will have her pick a dress that will go well with the wedding idea. Robert: If needed, we can order two dresses. One could be white, and she picks the other color. Vic: Okay. So far, we have only got a couple things done. We have the location, which is the station, Lucas agreed to it, and we can do it on C-Shift's day. We could possibly have the team help us decorate the station on the day of the wedding. I was thinking we hang decorations on the fire trucks. Robert: That would be amazing. I really don't know what Andy would like at a wedding, so if you know she would love it, just try and do it. Maya: Okay. We have finished the guest list, which is the whole station, and everyone said that they're coming. You and Andy have completed the baby registry, and last we have the date. On that date, Andy will be about 37 weeks along. Robert: Okay. Maya: Sir, what do you plan on wearing? Robert: I was thinking dress blues. Y'all will wear dresses, and the guys will wear their dress blues. Vic: Okay. Robert: I have one question. Maya: What? Robert: Should we invite some people from Montana? Maya: Yes. That's a great idea. Who? Robert: Captain Hopper, and some of the teachers. On the date, we're planning the baby shower for, there are no classes going on. Maya: Okay. Who's going to call? Robert: I will. Maya: Okay. Lets meet again next week. Robert: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, they finished their meeting, and had a good shift.

Andy's 33 Weeks and 1 Day... Today, Maya and Vic came over to hang with Andy, because Robert has a meeting with his battalion chief. Also, Robert is calling Captain Hopper and Elle. Robert did his meeting and then he called Captain Hopper and Elle at the same time.

Phone Call... Mark Hopper and Elle: Hello. Robert: Hello. It's Robert. Elle: Hey. What's up? Robert: We are planning Andy a surprise baby shower and I would like to invite y'all. You Captain Hopper, Elle, Chase and anyone else from the fire academy that can come. The thing is at the baby shower, I'm planning to hopefully marry her. Mark: Really? Robert: Yeah. Would you guys come? Elle and Mark: Of course. I'll try and bring all the teachers. Robert: Okay. That's amazing. I'll send y'all the details later. Mark: Okay. Robert: Thank you guys.: End of Conversation After that, Robert hangs up with them and he goes home. For the rest of the day, the four of them all hanged out until after dinner, and Andy had a good day.
