Chapter 15

Andy's 25 Weeks and 1 Day... Since today is Robert's last shift, he is introducing the new captain, showing him around, saying goodbye to his team, and leaving. Andy's also telling everybody at the fire academy goodbye. She wanted to say goodbye to everyone on Robert's last shift because they keep the cars they loan out to the firefighters there. Since the cars are there, she wanted to say goodbye and drop off the car on the same day; so that way Robert can take her home. They're leaving for Seattle in four days. Andy's excited to go back, but she's also anxious.

Over the past couple of weeks, Andy's belly has grown, and so much has changed. About a week after Robert got back from Seattle he was able to feel his daughter kick for the first time, and when he did, he got so happy.

In Seattle... Over the past couple of weeks, Pruitt and Lucas have been getting the apartment ready for them. They have set up all the furniture for the apartment and the nursery. It took a few days to get the baby's furniture set up because they couldn't figure it out. Both Lucas and Pruitt got angry at the furniture, but after a couple of days they figured it out. Pruitt put his two surprises in the nursery, and Robert ordered a surprise for the crib. Also, Lucas picked up the ring yesterday.

Back in Montana... Robert arrived at shift on time, grabbed the rest of his stuff, and put it in his car. Then he went back inside and waited in the office. Since he was introducing the new captain and leaving, Chief Wilson decided to stop by. When Chief Wilson arrived, Robert went outside to talk with him. Both Robert and Chief Wilson picked Robert's replacement. So they talked outside for a couple of minutes until the new captain arrived.

When the new captain arrived, Rober called his team over. This is what he said: Robert to his team: Hello, everyone. It sucks that I have to leave, but I do. So I want everyone to do everything for your new captain like you have done for me. I moved down here about 6 months after my wife died, and she has been gone for about 8 years now. I was made captain when I moved down here, so I've had some y'all for a while. I will miss everyone of you, so I would like to introduce you to your new captain John Walker.: End of Speech After that, everyone introduced themselves and went inside. After that, Robert and Chief Wilson talked for a few minutes, and then Robert left for the fire academy to get Andy.

At the Fire Academy... Andy arrived at the fire academy about the time of Robert's shift. When she arrived everyone was excited to see her, but Andy didn't want to say goodbye. When she got inside, she sat down. There was no class today. Over the past six months, Andy has done so much for the fire academy. There are five people at the fire academy who are teachers, and one captain. Their names are Captain Hopper, Zoey, Elle, Chase, Eric, Charles.

The People at the Fire Academy Talking... Everyone: We're going to miss you. Andy: I'm going to miss y'all. Why don't you guys come pay me a visit in Seattle? Possibly meet baby girl. Also, I need to give y'all a refresher course on Rapid Intervention Training in a few months. Elle: Really? Andy: Yeah. I want to introduce everyone of y'all to my 19 family, plus I think it would be fun to have y'all visit me. Chase: That sounds like fun. Andy: Captain Hopper, you're welcome to come down anytime. You have helped me the most with everything while I have been here. (When Captain Hopper heard that he was surprised but happy.) Elle: So, what are you going to do, when you get back to Seattle? Andy: I really don't know. I guess I have to find a way to tell my team that I'm pregnant and that I fell in love here. Zoey: That's going to be fun. Andy: Yep. So I think we can try and figure out, when y'all will come down for the refresher course in the training, in the next couple of weeks. I'll try and get Chief Wilson on board with everything. Captain Hopper: Okay. Andy: I wish I could stay here, but it's time for me to go home. Elle and Chase: Can we come up, sometime in the next couple of months? Andy: I would love that. Elle and Chase: Okay. We'll try and get some time off.: End of Conversation After that they talked until Robert arrived.

When Robert arrived, he was happy to see a big smile on Andy's face. Since they started packing, she has been kind of sad, so he was happy to see her smiling again. When Robert came in, Andy and her team were talking about the team coming up for a visit. After that, they all said goodbye. After that, she took Captain Hopper to the side.

Andy and Captain Hopper Conversation... Captain Hopper: What do you need? Andy: I wanted to say thank you for everything over the past 6 months. We weren't close in the beginning, but now I think that we are close. I want to thank you for everything. Captain Hopper: You're welcome. I will try to see you gus soon.: End of Conversation

After that, they said goodbye, and then she gave him the car keys. Then they headed home, and Andy was sad to leave them behind. She wished everyone she met here over the past six months, could be in Seattle. When they got home, Andy told Robert they needed to talk.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Andy: Hey, Robert can you come here? Robert: Yeah. What do you need? Andy: I want Captain Hopper to be the baby's godfather. He has helped me so much, and think that he's the right fit. He loves our daughter. What do you think? Robert: I think it's a good idea. When do you want to tell him? Andy: Before we leave. I had him be at the academy at the beginning of his shift, so right now he could be at his station. Robert: Okay. Do you want to go alone or should I come? Andy: I think I'll go alone.: End of Conversation

After that Andy headed to the station. When she arrived no one was there except someone at the desk. They weren't close, but they got along. His name is Gavin. When Gavin saw Andy come in he was surprised, because he thought that she was back in Seattle by now.

Andy and Gavin's Conversation... Andy: Hey, Gavin. Where is Captain Hopper? Gavin: He's on a call, but he's on his way back now. I thought you left. Andy: Nope. My contract finished last month, but I am still here. Gavin: Okay. He should be back any minute now. Andy: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, Andy waited until he got back.

Andy and Captain Hopper... Captain Hopper: Hey. What are you doing here? Andy: I'm here to ask you something. Captain Hopper: Okay. What do you need? Andy: What is your name out of curiosity? Captain Hopper: It's Mark Hopper. Why? Andy: Mark, I want you to be my daughter's godfather. Over the past six months, you have done so much for me, and my daughter. Whenever I would see you would ask about the baby and how I'm doing. Robert and I have talked, and he agreed that you should be her godfather. So will you be her god-father? Captain Hopper: I would love to. Thank you for asking. Andy: You're welcome. After he said yes, Andy put his hand on her belly and told him "this is your goddaughter. Thank you for everything.: End of Conversation

When Captain Hopper said yes, Andy was so happy, because that was the only person she could see to be her daughter's godfather. So she got in the car and called Robert to let him that Captain Hopper said he would be the baby's godfather. When he heard that Mark (Captain Hopper) would be the baby's god-father he was happy. After that Andy ended the call and headed home.
