Chapter 20

Welcome back, everybody. I hope you are enjoying this story. I recently looked around on Wattpad, and I found I have at least one reader on every continent. I want to thank y'all for that. Here's the new chapter.

Andy's 27 Weeks and 4 Days... When Andy got up from her nap with Robert, she got ready to meet Travis. Lucas told Andy that he won't be showing up till a little bit later. She headed to Travis's about 2:30 in the afternoon.

When Andy arrived at Travis's, she had her belly covered. Andy and Travis Conversation... Travis: So you're back. Andy: Yes, I am. I'm sorry I didn't tell y'all, but some stuff happened in Montana over the past seven months. Travis: So how are you? Andy: Okay. Travis: Why didn't you take the captain job? The whole station knows you were offered it. Andy: The reason comes from what happened in Montana. Travis: What happened? Andy: I'm pregnant. (Andy stands up, and shows Travis her belly.) Travis: Okay. This explains it. Andy: The reason is that I am 27 weeks and 4 days pregnant with a little girl. Lucas sent me down to Montana for training, but also for a guy. He thought we would click, and we did. So over the past seven months, I have been growing a little girl and falling in love. I choose not to be captain because I know have everything I could ever want. I have a little girl, and a man I love so much. Being captain could not match those, even if I tried. Travis: Okay. May I ask who the father is? Andy: Yes, it's Sullivan. We are living with one another, and we got engaged last week. Travis: Wow. Our new captain. This is a lot to take it. Andy: Since I told you, you can't tell anyone. Maya, you, my dad, and the fire chief know. I am here because we need your help. Travis: Okay. Who and with what? Andy: Lucas needs our help. I know about him and Vic because he told me. So he wants our help planning Vic's proposal. Travis: So you know? Andy: Yes, I do. Lucas is coming over here soon. Travis: Okay.: End of Conversation

While they were waiting for Lucas to show up, Andy and Travis just talked. After a couple of minutes, Lucas showed up.

Andy, Travis, and Lucas Conversation... Lucas: Hey. Andy: So, are we ready to plan this thing? Also, when do you want to ask her? Lucas: So ready, and as soon as possible. Andy: Okay. Any ideas? Travis: Well, Andy you did say that Vic was one of the people you wanted to tell, before the whole team. The problem now is where are we going to ask her and when? Andy: We could do it at me and Robert's house, possibly. Lucas: I like that. Andy: We could have her come up to the nursery, and when I open the door, Lucas you would be behind it, with the ring out. Lucas: I like that, but now when. Travis: A shift day if possible. Andy: I can talk to Robert, and see if you and Vic can get a half shift or a whole shift off. Lucas: Okay. I can't believe this is happening. Andy: So, I am going to head home to Robert. I'll let you know what day, he can give y'all off. Travis and Lucas: Okay.: End of Conversation

After that, Andy headed home to Robert. When she got home, Robert was happy to see her, and he was making dinner. When she got home, she headed to the kitchen, and Robert gave her a kiss.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Robert: So, how'd it go? Andy: Pretty good. Robert: That's good. Did y'all decide on a plan? Andy: Yeah, we did, but there is still some stuff we need to work out. Robert: Okay. What's the plan? Andy: We plan to have Vic come over here. I would tell her in the living room, and then take her to the nursery. When she gets to the nursery, Lucas will be down on his knee, when I open the door. Travis wants to do it on a shift day if possible. Robert: If you give me a day, I could possibly have them work a half shift. They would get off about one or two in the afternoon. Andy: Okay. I'll call Lucas and Travis tomorrow, and see if we can find a day. Robert: Okay. So what do you want to do tonight? Andy: Nothing much. Robert: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, Andy and Robert ate dinner and rested for the rest of the day.

Andy's 27 Weeks and 5 Days... Andy decided to text both Lucas and Travis this morning.

Andy's text to Lucas and Travis: Hey. Robert will give Travis and Vic a half-day, sometime soon. You would get off about one or two in the afternoon. Just let me know which shift day you want to do it on.

After she texted them, she just hanged out with Robert for the rest of the day.

Andy's 27 Weeks and 6 Days... When Andy woke up, Robert was getting ready to leave, and she had a text from Lucas. So she got up and said goodbye to Robert. After she said goodbye, she went and checked Lucas's text. Lucas's Text to Andy: Hey. I thought we could ask her next shift or the one after that one, and hopefully, that gives Robert enough notice. We'll let Travis know when we a day.

After Andy read the text, she decided she would call Robert later, and ask if they could have the shift off. So Andy replied to Andy's text. Andy's Text to Lucas: Hey. I am going to call Robert later and see if they can get off. I will keep you updated.

After Andy replied, she headed to the baby store. She went to the baby store, for baby bedding, since some of the team might be seeing it soon.
