Chapter 4

When Andy left for the station, she was really surprised that her car turned on, and that she found an extra set of gear in the back. When she arrived at the station, she found the team, and trucks go, but Ripley was there. When she came in thru the door, Ripley was very surprised to see her, and since the team wasn't there, Ripley came over and hugged her.

Andy and Ripley Conversation... Ripley: Hey. What are you doing here? Andy: I'm here to see the team. Ripley: You arrived this morning, right? Andy: Yep. Ripley: How's it going in Montana? Andy: Good. Since both me and Robert love another, I signed a contract with Missoula County, Montana. So I will be there's for the next six months. I will be in charge of training, and I will be a lieutenant while I'm there. Ripley: Okay. How are you doing? Andy: It's been a really tough day. Ripley: I'm sorry. Does the team know about it yet? Andy: Nope, but Robert thought it is a better idea, to come down here for the week to tell the team about the contract, and to talk with you. Ripley: Okay. Just so you know, I'm here for you, if you need it. Robert was family once, which makes you family. Andy: Okay. Where is the team? Ripley: Car wreck call, for about an hour now. Andy: Okay.

Ripley: Even though you signed the contract, are you interested in being captain next shift? Since you in town. Andy: Really? Ripley: Yes. Out of curiosity when were you in the fire last? Andy: Over the past three months, I have been in two three-alarm fires and one four-alarm fire, but we weren't on call for the five-alarm. Ripley: Okay. Do you have any gear? Andy: In the back of my car. Ripley: Okay. Any questions? Andy: Yeah. How is Gibson doing? Ripley: Good, but he knew the second shift in, that you were going to be captain, but he has taken it really well. Andy: Okay. I think I hear the trucks. Can I tell them, or do you want too? Ripley: You can if you want. Andy: Okay. Please, don't mention the contract. Ripley: Okay.: End of Conversation

When the team came in and saw Andy and Ripley talking they were confused but really happy to see Andy. The last time they saw Andy was about two months ago. When they all saw her, there were a lot of hugs, and Maya and Vic were really shocked to see her. After a minute of catching up, Ripley said "Hey! Listen up, Andy has an announcement." That got everyone's attention.

Andy: Since I'm in town for the week, Ripley has offered for me to be captain of the next shift, and I have accepted. Are you guys up for me being captain for a shift?

When the team heard that they were excited, and pumped for her to take a shift. After she told everyone that, she asked to speak with Gibson in the captain's office.

Jack and Andy Conversation... Andy: Hey Jack. How have you been? Jack: Good. We haven't talked much. I want you to know, that I know Ripley offered you captain and that you aren't sure if you going to take it. Do you want to take the captain position? Andy: I do, but I don't at the same time. My dream has always been to be captain of this station, but I met a guy in Montana, who's a breath of fresh air. He makes me feel something, I have never felt before. He makes me feel safe and happy. Jack: Okay. What are you doing here, then? Andy: He sent me down here for the week, to talk to everyone. About if I'm going to be captain in Seattle, or if I'm going to be a lieutenant, and head of training in Montana. Jack: Okay. What are you going to do about the captain's position? Andy: I want the station to have a permanent captain, but I really don't know. So while I'm here, I will be talking to Ripley. Jack: Okay. Please, keep me updated on the captain's position. Andy: Okay. Are you ready to go back to being a lieutenant for a shift? Jack: I guess so. Andy: Okay.: End of Conversation

After Andy and Jack finished talking, Andy left and ran into Ripley on the way out.

Andy and Ripley Conversation... Andy: Hey. Chief just leaving, to head home. Do you need anything for the next shift? Ripley: Just some paperwork, from Gibson. Andy: Okay. While I'm in Seattle, we need to figure out what's going to happen if I don't take the captain's position. Ripley: Okay. We'll figure out a good time. Andy: Okay. See you next shift, chief. Ripley: Okay.: End of Conversation

After they talked and she left, she couldn't wait to tell Robert when she got home, it felt like a regular visit to the station, and she was glad to see her family, but she till missed Robert. When she got home, she sent a text to Robert as soon as she made it thru the door. She was really happy when she saw him calling her.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Andy: Hello. I love you, so much. Robert: Hello too. I love you too. What's going on? Andy: Guess what Ripley offered me to do this week? Robert: What? Andy: Since I miss you, and since I'm in town for the week, I get to be captain of the next shift. Robert: Really? Andy: Yeah, but being around the team, made me miss you more. Robert: I'm sorry. I love you and miss you. A call is coming in. Andy: I love you too. Bye.: End of Conversation

After she talked to him, she went to bed. Andy really missed him, but talking too him helped.
