Chapter 31

Hello everyone. It's been a busy week. Got internet Tuesday, and then I have started school again, so I've been super busy. I'm hoping to get back on schedule next week. I hope you enjoy the chapter.

(Robert's 5th Day Gone: Saturday) Andy's 32 Weeks and 2 Days... When Andy woke up in the hospital, Maya was sleeping on a cot beside her, and seeing Maya right beside her made miss Robert. She just wanted his hand on her belly, and for him to tell her that everything was going to be alright. However, he's not there, but he's coming back tomorrow.

Over the past couple of days, the team has made a schedule where two people from the team will stay with her at all times. They take turns during the day but Maya will spend the night with Andy.

Today, there isn't a shift. So that means more of the team will come to hang out with Andy. Since Andy told Lucas about being in the hospital, he has stopped by to see her every morning. Whenever he gets there in the morning, Maya and Vic are usually there. Since Vic has been at the hospital so much with Andy, they haven't been together for a few days. So they went to an empty hallway, and he kissed her on her head. However, Dean saw them kiss, and Vic didn't know until Lucas walked away.

When Vic realized that, Dean just saw the Fire Chief kiss one of his close friends, she was shocked and needed to talk to him. It was Dean and Travis's turn to be with Andy, so Vic decided to ask Travis if she could take his spot and when she explained why, he accepted.

When it came to Dean and Vic's turn, Andy was asleep in her bed, so they were just sitting and staring at one another because Dean didn't know what to think. Since Dean wasn't talking, Vic was the first one to say anything.

Conversation... Vic: I know what you saw, and I would like to tell you Lucas and I are together. Dean: Wow. This is just a lot to process. How long have you guys been together? Vic: For about a year. Dean: Who knows? Vic: Sullivan, Andy, Maya, Travis, and his sister Jennifer. Dean: That's basically the whole station. Only two people don't know about you guys. Why do they know? Vic: They know because they helped plan my proposal. (Vic pulls out her necklace, which has her engagement ring on it.) Dean: Wow. Vic: I know you're probably upset, but I'm happy and in love. Dean: I'm happy for you, but I need to take a walk.: End of Conversation After that Dean left.

When Dean left, Vic was confused, and when Travis saw Dean leave, he came in. By then, Andy had woken up a little bit and was quite confused about what was going on. All she knew was that she needed the team's help, so she called every one of them to her room.

Conversation... Andy: Guys I need some help. Jack: What do you need help with? Andy: Our house is a disaster, and I need someone to straighten it up, and can someone install both of the car seat bases. One in my car and one in Robert's car. Also, I need some clothes from the house. Vic: I will grab you some clothes. Travis: Okay, we'll get on it. Who do you want to stay here with you? Andy: Maya will you stay? Maya: Of course.: End of Conversation After that, they all made a plan, and Maya was left behind to stay with Andy.

Over the next couple of hours, the team cleaned the house and Lucas actually installed the bases in both cars. Vic packed Andy a bag, so that way she could shower and have clean clothes. By the time the team finished it was around five in the afternoon. So Vic dropped off Andy a bag of stuff, and Maya slept on her cot beside Andy.

(Robert Comes Back: Sunday) Andy's 32 Weeks and 3 Days... When Andy woke up this morning she was excited, but anxious at the same time. Over the past few days, Andy has kept her phone calls with Robert short, but she's ready to see him again. She's missed Robert badly. Ever since Andy was admitted, Maya has slept by Andy every night, and Maya has kept clothes for work in Andy's room, so that way she can go check in at work for a little bit. Andy had no clue how Robert would take keeping this from him, but she knew that he would be glad that she was okay.

Every morning, Lucas will stop by and come see Andy. Today is a shift day, so when Lucas got to Andy's room, Maya was changing.

Conversation... Lucas: Hey Andy. Andy: Hey. Maya's changing in the bathroom. Lucas: Okay. I need to talk to both of you. Andy: Okay. What about? Lucas: Work. Andy: Okay. Lucas: Are you excited to see Robert? Andy: I really don't know. I hope he isn't going to be mad. Lucas: He won't. Maya: Sir, what are you doing here? Lucas: I want you to stay with Andy until Robert lands and I bring him here. Maya: Okay. Who will be the captain? Lucas: Jack will be captain. When Robert gets here, you will go to work, but I don't want Andy alone. Maya: Okay. Does the team know? Lucas: Yes. Robert takes off in about an hour, and then he will land an hour after that. Maya: Okay. I'll check and see if she can take a shower. Lucas: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, Lucas left and Maya went and talked to Andy's nurse and Carina.

When Maya came back from talking to the nurse, Andy was standing by the window. When Maya came in and saw Andy standing up, she just smiled and asked if she wanted a shower, and Andy said yes. Over the next hour, Andy got cleaned up, and Lucas headed to the airport to get Robert. When Robert came out of the airport's doors and saw Lucas he was very confused, but he went over to him.

Conversation... Robert: What are you doing here? Lucas: Andy sent me. Robert: Why? Lucas: Something happened to her and the baby. Robert: What happened? Lucas: I'll explain on the way. Robert: Okay.: End of Conversation

After that, Lucas explained the best he could on the way to the hospital. He told him about the past few days. When they got to the hospital and made it to Andy's floor, Maya came out in the hallway. When Robert saw Maya, he knew that was Andy's room, so went in there.

When Robert came into the room and saw Andy, he was so worried. The first thing he did was kiss her, and then he sat down right beside her. When he sat down right beside her, he put his head in her lap and started crying. When he started to cry, Andy had no clue what to think.

Conversation... Andy: Robert, why are you crying? Robert: I'm was just so worried. I love you so much and I can't lose you. Andy: You aren't going to lose me. We are just fine. Robert: Really? Andy: Yes. We were never alone. The team took turns being with me, and Maya slept here with me every night. Robert: Really? Andy: Yeah. Robert: I love you. Andy: I love you too. Robert: How are you doing? Andy: I'm homesick. They won't let me go home until you get back. Robert: Why? Andy: I'm on bed rest, to keep her from coming, and I can't be alone. Robert: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, Carina came in and explained everything to Robert, and told Andy that she gets to go home tomorrow.
