Chapter 21

Hello everyone. Happy Christmas week if you celebrate it, or if you celebrate something else. 

Andy's 27 Weeks and 6 Days... Since Andy was going to the baby store, and she didn't want to go alone, she decided to stop by Pruitt's to see if he would go with her. When she got to his apartment and knocked someone she didn't expect opened the door.

The person who opened the door was Ryan! Andy couldn't believe her eyes when she saw him. Luckily her bump was covered by her jacket. So she went inside.

Andy, Ryan, and Pruitt Conversation... Andy: What are you doing here in Seattle? Ryan: I missed you, and wanted to talk about us. Also, see everyone. Andy: Well, you should know, over the past year a lot has happened. Ryan: Okay. Like what? Andy: Didn't dad tell you? Ryan: No. What? (As soon as Ryan said that, Pruitt came in the door, with groceries.) Andy: Dad, you didn't tell him. Pruitt: No, I wanted you too. Ryan: Tell me what? Andy: I'm engaged, and pregnant. (After saying that, Andy took off her jacket, and when she did, Ryan saw her belly.) Ryan: So, a lot has changed. Andy: Yeah, a lot has. I will be 28 weeks tomorrow, and I'm having a little girl, she doesn't have a name yet. Ryan: So, how are you? Andy: I'm good. I am still mad at you for just leaving and not telling us. When you left, that was rough on me, and then a couple of months after you left dad retired. Ryan: I'm sorry, I didn't know how to say goodbye to you, because I love you. I guess I have to let go of those feelings now. Andy: I want you to know, I have everything I could have wanted. A daughter on the way, and a man I love so much. When you left, I loved you so much, but at the end of the day, I hated you for leaving, but I still love you somehow. Ryan: Okay, I want you to know, that I am sorry I left you. Andy: Okay. I put it in the past, so, would you guys come to the baby store to buy the baby bedding? Ryan and Pruitt: We would love to. Andy: Okay. Let's go. Ryan and Pruitt: Okay. Pruitt: I'll meet you there, why don't you take Ryan? Andy: Okay. (After that they left and headed to the baby store.) Ryan: Do you remember what we were going to name our daughter if we had one? Andy: Of course I do, but a lot has changed. Ryan, you left. You don't get to be mad at me for moving on. You left and went all the way to California, so I moved on too. Ryan: So, what does the team think? Andy: They actually don't know about the baby, but Maya and Travis do know. Ryan: Okay.: End of Conversation

After that, they drove quietly to the baby store and waited for Pruitt to get there. When Pruitt arrived, they all went inside. When they got there, they got the stuff Andy needed, looked around for a little bit, and then they left. Pruitt took Ryan home because he sensed something happened on the drive here.

While Andy was driving home, she just kept replaying her talk with Ryan. She didn't know why, Ryan thought he had a right to say everything about her relationship or her daughter. So when she got home, she decided to call Maya, to talk about everything that Ryan said. He left her, four months before she went to Montana.

Andy and Maya Conversation... Maya: Hey. Andy: Can anyone hear you? Maya: No. They're not home. What's going on? Andy: Ryans back. Maya: What?! Why? Andy: Yeah. He's back for me. Then he thought he could have an opinion on Robert and my daughter. Maya: Wow. He left you, he doesn't get one to say anything about your life. Andy: Yeah. He doesn't get to have an opinion on my life. I am happy and in love. I have everything, I could ever want, a man and a daughter. Maya: Does Sullivan know about Ryan? Andy: Kinda. He knows that I was in a long term relationship and that he left me. That's about it. I still can't believe he is back, and that he was at my dad's. Maya: I thought after Ryan broke your heart, your dad would hate him. Andy: Nope. Still, see's him as a son. I don't know-how. Maya: I'd ask you if you want to go drinking, but you can't. Andy: I wish I could, right now. Maya: Me too. Andy: Why don't I come over soon? Maya: Okay. Well, the team is back. I should go. Andy: Tell Robert Hi for me. Maya: Okay. Bye. Andy: Bye.: End of Conversation

After Andy hanged up with Maya, she felt calmer and was happier. However, she still couldn't believe that Ryan was at her father's after he broke her heart and moved to California. After a couple of minutes of Andy hanging up with Maya, Andy decided to call Robert, and talk to him about Lucas's times for asking Vic.

Andy and Robert Conversation... Robert: Hey. How was your day? Andy: Had it's good and bad moments. Robert: Okay. How's the baby? Andy: Moving. We really got to find her a name. Robert: Agreed. Andy: Okay. So, Lucas texted me this morning, after you left, and what do you think about giving Travis and Vic half-day next shift or the one after. Robert: That could work, but you should know, Maya has that day off. Andy: Okay. She might be able to help me. Robert: Okay. I love you so much. Andy: I love you too. Robert: Are you getting excited? Andy: Yes. After he proposes, I tell the team. Robert: Yep. How do you feel about telling the team? Andy: Scared, but I can't wait for them to know. Robert: Me too. Once you tell the team, you can hang out at the station, and I can't wait for that. Andy: Me too. I miss you so much. Robert: Me too. Andy: I'll be going now. Robert: Okay. Just so you know, I put in the time off for both Vic and Travis, and I can't wait to see you, tomorrow morning. Andy: Me too. I love you, so much. Robert: Love you too.: End of Conversation

After Andy hung up, she went and made dinner, and then went to bed. She has gotten used to sleeping without Robert, but she still misses him.
