Chapter 46

Hinihingal na tumigil si Luke habang nakahawak sa dalawa niyang tuhod. Malayo na ang narating niya pero hindi pa rin niya nakita ang dalawang lalaki kanina.

Huminga siya ng malalim at pinatalas ulit ang pang-amoy niya.

If he can't find them by sightt, then he will find them with Isabel's scents.

It took him almost two hours searching and didn't realized until he came to the mountain.

The surroundings was dark and cold but because of the small light of the moon despite of the fog, he can still see the ground.

"Please ... D-don't... L-let me go." Rinig ni Luke sa mahina at takot na tinig sa unahan.

Nagmamadali niyang inalis ang halaman na humarang sa harapan niya at napatuloy sa paglalakad.

Hindi pa siya nakakahakbang ng isang lakad ay nanlaki na ang mga mata niya sa nakita.

Isabel was already awake, sitting on the ground and hugging her own self while the two beasts was standing in front of her like they are still waiting for a moment before eating her.

Walang pagdadalawang-isip naman na agad na humarang si Luke.

"L-luke?" Puno ng pag-asa na hindi makapaniwalang sambit ni Isabel pero nandon pa rin ang sobrang takot.

"D-don't be afraid. I'm here." Sabi ni Luke habang tinutulungan si Isabel na tumayo.

Pilit niyang pinapatatag ang sarili kahit ang totoo ay kinakain na din siya ng takot at kaba.

The beasts growl at them like they were happy to see two meats in front of them.

The two beasts slowly turned themselves into human form.

Luke was shocked to realized that they were the men that he saw earlier who carried Isabel out from the gate.

"So... You were beasts? How many are you in the palace?" Matapang na tanong ni Luke habang nakatago sa likuran niya si Isabel at tinatakpan naman ni Isabel ang sariling mga mata dahil sa mga hubad na katawan ng dalawang lalaki.

Tumawa ang dalawang lalaki.

"Your highness... You will not believed it. But we are kind of welcome in the palace. We can just go in and out all the time if we want." Sagot ng isang lalaki.

Napaisip si Luke sigurado siyang may nagpapapasok sa kanila at kung sino man yun ay hindi niya alam.

Kailangan itong malaman ni Matthew.

"L-luke, I'm a-afraid." Takot na bulong ni Isabel nang bumalik na naman sa anyong uso ang dalawang lalaki.

Luke hugged Isabel while trying to look for something that can help him to fight the beasts.

He held out his hand and push the beasts but his power wasn't enough to make them go away.

He tried to use his power again and stood in front of Isabel to protect her while preparing all his strength to meet the two beasts that is running towards them.

They both flew in a distance. Luke hold his chest when he felt it aching but still prioritize Isabel's safety and helped her stand to run before the two beasts could stood up.

They run for their life but Isabel stumbled on the ground that made both of them fell.

Luke closed his eyes and swallowed his saliva full of heroic while covering Isabel and prepared himself to get eaten when suddenly a familiar pinkish bright color popped up around the surroundings and fragrance in front of them.
