Chapter 61

Matthew stopped his horse when he met Yuhan.

Yuhan stepped down on his horse and walked towards him while looking confusedly at him. He knew Yuhan must be confused that he brought the two horses with him. 

"I promised the kid last night to let him ride Matteo." sabi agad ni Matthew.

Tumango-tango naman si Yuhan at mabilis siyang naintindihan.

"Did you search for me?"

"I was about to but when I came out the Princess was already waiting for me outside the hotel." sagot ni Yuhan. 

"Luke was also searching for you. Where have you been all night?"

Matagal bago sumagot si Matthew saka maliit na ngumiti.

Yuhan took a deep breath with relief.

"Oh? Is that a breath of relief? I thought you are also against of Mameh?" kunot-noong tanong ni Matthew. 

Yuhan stepped more forward and signaled Matthew to lower his head.

"I heard from the Princess that the real name of Mameh was Mameng. Most of the people don't know here because she never left her house since she was young. Her name was changed after a month after Simon came here. The Princess said that she finds it strange that Simon always visit Mameh's house when he came here and it seems that he is hiding something. I asked some of the people that have seen Mameh before who asked helped and went to her house  to cure their illness. And they said that it was really true that Mameng was really ugly and has a face of a woman that has been cursed that nobody dare to look at her and even get scared and run away when they see her."

Naitigilan si Matthew. 

Mameh's familiar fragrance, face, body and the rosebud tattoo on her forehead went in Matthew's head.

"I found out accidentally this morning that she has also the same rosebud tattoo on her forehead. Something is really not right. I don't know what Simon has done. I think I need to go back to the capital and investigate this matter. If ever Simon stole Ileanna's body then Mameh shouldn't carry the rosebud on her forehead."

Tumingin-tingin si Yuhan sa paligid saka inilapit ulit ang sarili kay Matthew. 

"But your Majesty, Official Chu has sent a letter this day saying that the Prime Minister also wants to come here. I think he is just using this excuse while you are here so that slhe can enter the east kingdom safely under your name and look for Simon here. So we need to go back to the capital tomorrow morning."

Matthew clenched his jaw. 

As much as he wanted Simon to get caught by the Prime Minister, he can't do it because of Mameh, Philip, Ayeng and Matteo. He knew it will be chaotic and also Mameh's life will get more chaotic as she carry the face of Yanna. So he doesn't have any choice but to protect Simon and quickly go home by tomorrow.

Mabuti na lang at may oras naman siyang makasama si Matteo ngayon at si Mameh kaya may panahon siya para imbestigahan lalo si Mameh.

"I'll be back at five." Matthew said at aalis na sana.

"Oh and one more thing. Please be careful, I heard a news that someone was lost last night and his body was found in the forest dry, lifeless, and soulless. I have checked it, I think the Demon tribe has strike again." sabi ni Yuhan."

Tumango si Matthew bilang sagot at hinanda na ang lubid nang magsalita ulit si Yuhan.

"What now?" medyo iritang tanong ni Matthew kay Yuhan.

"It is not so important but I am just telling you this. Someone has seen the lake was froze yesterday. I know it wasn't you but you should be alarm of that. No one can use that strong power of ice except your clan in  Ningjing Kingdom but I doubt that they are here."
