Chapter 64

Matthew opened his eyes and smiled when he saw the familiar room when he woke up almost a month ago.

He looked around and saw that no one is inside the room.

Sinubukan niyang bumangon pero napabalik din sa pagkakahiga nang maramdaman ang pagsakit ng kanyang ulo at pagkahilo tulad ng nararamdaman din niya noon nang magising siya sa kwartong ito.

Ngumiti siya habang nakatingin sa kisame at inaalala ang planong ginawa niya kanina na naging dahilan kung paano siya napunta dito ngayon.

Earlier, after he crossed the lake he knew that Mameh will not going to let him stay in her home. Kaya nag-isip muna siya ng paraan. At wala siyang ibang naisip kundi ipain na naman ang kamay niya sa loob ng isang malaking jar na may lamang mga ahas.

He planned this when he remembered that Mameh and Matteo came so fast to rescue him when he got bitten before. He knew his plan was kind of crazy because it may also caused his life but that didn't happen because after he got bitten, they came together again so fast. It seems that they will know right away when he is in danger.

This was the second time that he felt familiar whenever they helped him.

"You're awake." Mameh said when she entered the room holding a tray with foods.

Hindi sumagot si Matthew at nananatiling tahimik.

His planned was successful of staying here tonight but he doesn't know how he will explain how he got inside the clinic again.

Inilatag ni Mameh ang tray sa mesa at ang mga pagkain.

"I can only let you stay here tonight because it is already late. But may I ask you why are you here?"

Hindi sumagot ulit si Matthew at nananatili lang na tahimik habang nakatitig kay Mameh.

He was staring at her bangs that covered her rosebud tattoo down to her long black wavy hair.

He looked at the glass of water. He plan to wet her hair and see if she also dye her hair like what he heard from Ayeng.

"Hi?"

Lumipad ang tingin niya kay Matteo na nakangiti nang makapasok.

His eyes automatically fixed on Matteo's hair. He is more curious of why his hair needs to be dye.

Mameh saw his gazed and read his mind. She cleared his throat and hold Matthew's head and gently pulled and hugged him to her hips.

"Please eat while the food is still warm." Sabi ni Mameh.

Matthew stretched his hand in the air that made Mameh raised her eyebrow.

Matthew frowned and pouted his lips.

"I can't sit. My head is still spinning." Pag-iinarte niya.

Matteo giggled and looked at Mameh.

Inikot ni Mameh ang mga mata saka lumapit kay Matthew para tulungang bumangon sa kama.

"You will be okay in twenty-minutes." Sabi ni Matteo.

Tumango si Matthew saka ngumiti kay Matteo sabay gulo ng buhok nito.

Inalalayan naman ni Mameh si Matthew papunta sa upuan sa mesa para makakain.

Mameh sat in front of him while giving him his chopsticks and spoon.

Lihim na napangiti si Matthew.

He tried to lift his hand like he was in pain.

Mameh rolled her eyes again and pick the spoon by herself and started to feed Matthew.
