The first thing I realized when I opened my eyes? A ball of black smoke...and I was in it. I looked at my hands which were shaking uncontrollably. I mean, what did you expect? I literally just woke up from my worst nightmare. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

'Come on, Zoe. You can do this. You have to,' I told myself before struggling to stand on my feet. Once I did, I transformed into Libra's armor, using its sword to stabilize myself. I raised the golden scale before channeling what inner strength I had left. I, then, kneeled on one knee with the scale landing in front of me.

A bright golden light emerged from the scale I was holding but it didn't seem to hurt my eyes. I looked towards the black smoke and realized that it was starting to disappear, little by little. Then, the entire black space surrounding me burst open and I could finally breathe in the fresh air. I spread my wings and flew upwards, taking in the sunlight and cool breeze. After a few minutes of appreciating the existence of the sun, I looked down and saw my brother, my cousins and the biggest pain in the ass in the whole wide world.

I landed on the ground and closed my wings, my glare fixed on Eldor. His expression needn't any explanation because it was very obvious that he was shocked to the bones and I was glad.

"Z-Zoe?" I heard my brother call from behind me, which made me turn around.

"Look, I don't have time to explain everything...but I know a way to defeat him," I told the others.

"How?" asked Leona and in reply I showed them the golden scale in my hand.

"Just follow my lead," and the others nodded.

"You children still think you can defeat me?!" he laughed before raising the globe once again.

.

The golden light emerged from the scale, just like it did before...but this time, I wasn't the only one holding the scale. We all were. According to my grandma, the scales of Libra can do so much more than manipulating gravity. It also has light magic in it. Therefore, when merged with the power of the Hidden Mages, it is powerful enough to vanquish all kinds of evil. And yes, you heard me right. Vanquish.

Eldor raised the globe and tried to use its power to absorb the magic coming from the scale but it was too much that cracks started growing on the globe and eventually...it broke...in half. He dropped both pieces in shock, not knowing what to do next. He looked up and his eyes widened and for the first time during this whole battle...I saw pure fear in his eyes.

The light of the scale devoured the entire battlefield for a split second, making us avert our gaze...but when we opened our eyes, Eldor was no longer there. The only thing of his was his ashes falling onto the ground.

"D-Did we do it? Did we finish the job?" asked Daphne after seeing the ashes.

"Yes. Yes, we did," confirmed Dylan.

"Vincent?" Angelo called before turning towards him. There was a long pause but Vincent finally spoke.

"We did it. He's gone," he stated, making the rest of us sigh in relief.

The scale disappeared and we all dropped to our knees, gasping for air. Each of us used up our magic to the max after that spell. It literally drained our energies.

"I don't know about you guys...but uhh...I'm done for the day," said Nico while lying on the hard ground.

"Yeah? Well, I'm done for the year. So, call me next year, kay?" said Xavier before laying on his back like Nico. The rest of us laughed. Well, at least we tried to.

"Oh, god. I seriously did not sign up for this shit," said Dylan and with that everyone burst out laughing again.

"Yeah, no kidding," said Lucas.
