An Unusual Dream

It's been two days since we left The Fairy Kingdom. Lucas and Opal were fast asleep while I steered the ship. We were headed for Terror Chain Island and just as Amber said, we had to pass The Home of The Winter Griffin. Even though it has already been two days, we still haven't seen any island or any Winter Griffin.

'Maybe we're in the wrong direction' I thought to myself.

I was just thinking about turning our ship around when suddenly our ship started shaking. Both Lucas and Opal woke up with a fright before turning towards me.

"What's going on?!" Lucas yelled. I suddenly felt the urge to look up and when I did, I really wished I didn't.

"IT'S THE WINTER GRIFFIN!" I yelled back.

Right after that, the griffin flew towards me with its sharp talons, trying to grab a hold of me. I started panicking, so I did the first thing that came into my mind.

"Transform: Aquila. Constellation of the eagle!"

 Constellation of the eagle!"

I transformed into a new outfit which came with a pair of silver wings. By transforming into the constellation of the eagle, I now have the ability to fly and have really good vision. Oh, and I also can control the wind. With the help of my wings, I flew up and came face to face with The Winter Griffin. It had big dark blue eyes, but other than that the rest of Griffin's body was completely white, even it's wings. It flew at me again but this time I quickly reacted. I send a powerful wind and it hit the Griffin right in the face! At first, I thought that the Griffin would at least fly away or something, but it didn't. All it did was shake his head a bit and gave me a deadly glare.

'Shit. I'm dead,' I thought to myself before getting chased by the Griffin.

"Lucas! Help!" I yelled while flying away as fast as I can.

"Zoe! Hang on!" Lucas yelled back. I turned back to see if the Griffin was still chasing me or not, but when I did I got hit with a huge ice blast and it sent me falling. I thought I would eventually fall into the ocean but I landed on something much harder than water. I got up to see Opal and Lucas in front of me. I looked around and sighed after realizing that I was on the ship.

"I think it's time you summoned a spirit, Lucas," I said to him and he nodded in reply.

"I summon the spirit of storms: Anemoi Thuellai," he said before summoning one of his spirits.

Then, out of nowhere a spirit shaped like a tornado appeared. It started sending huge wind storms at the Griffin. By now, the Griffin was afraid and it wanted to escape but Lucas's spirit had other plans. The spirit started spinning and therefore creating a huge tornado. The tornado was so strong that even the Griffin couldn't fly anymore, instead, it started getting sucked into the tornado itself. Since the Griffin couldn't fly anymore, it decided to use its powers and freeze the tornado. 'Smart.' I thought before flying back up to face the griffin. Before the spirit was completely frozen, I used my wings to create a huge wind to help break the ice and after a few seconds, it did. Lucas's spirit started creating the tornado again, but this time I flew right in front of the Griffin and sent a wind blast. The Griffin loss focus and finally got sucked into the tornado. After that, Lucas's spirit disappeared into thin air and the Griffin was nowhere to be seen. I landed gently onto the ship and transformed back into my original outfit.

"Thanks for your help, Lucas. I owe you." I said while giving him a pat on the shoulder.

"No problem" he replied with a cheeky smile.

"So, if we just passed The Home of The Winter Griffin that means Terror Chain Island is not too far ahead, right?" asked Lucas while looking out at the ocean.

"Yup, you're right and if I'm not mistaken, we might be able to reach there by nightfall," I replied before continuing to steer the ship.

.

.

I could suddenly see a lightning strike from the sky, followed by loud thunders. I looked up into the sky to see that it has been covered by dark grey clouds. Then, the waves started crashing onto the ship violently and that's when I knew that something terrible was going to happen. "Looks like we're in for a storm. A huge one," I said to Lucas who was standing by my side.

"Here. I want you to steer." I said before walking towards the mast of the ship.

"What are you going to do?" Lucas asked while struggling to steer the ship in the storm. Once I was at the mast, I pulled a rope to put up the storm sails which was gonna help balance the ship. I ran back to Lucas after I was done to see if he was alright.

"With this storm, I don't think we'll make it by nightfall," said Lucas while trying hard to see the ocean through the storm. Just then, Opal came to us with a worried expression on her face and I could see that she was not only worried but also scared. I knelt in front of her and brushed her fur gently to reassure her that everything was going to be alright.

"I'll be grateful if we can make it at all," I replied while looking up at the sky.

Just when I was about to stand up, a lightning stroked the main mast of the ship and it fell along with the storm sail. The entire ship became unbalanced, so it was up to me and Lucas to stabilize the ship just by steering it. We tried thinking of ways we could go through the storm by using our powers, but we couldn't come up with anything. The last thing I remembered seeing, was a huge wave swallowing the entire ship and us along with it. After that........darkness.

I woke up and looked around before realizing that I was in a forest and the scary part was not being alone, it was not knowing how I got there in the first place. I got up slowly and balanced myself trying not to make any sudden movements. After walking for what feels like hours, I came across an old lady with pale skin tone and white flowy hair. She was also wearing a long white sleeveless dress with pink floral prints on it along with a light green beaded necklace. The weird thing was, I couldn't make out her face, it was like the image of her face was just a blur. "Who are you?" I asked her after stopping in my tracks. She looked at me and smiled sweetly. "You will find that out by yourself very soon, but that's not what you should be worrying about right now," she replied with a gentle tone in her voice. After I heard her voice, I was absolutely sure that she sounded familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on it. I then started recalling about the things that had happened before. "Lucas. Opal. Where are they?" I asked while looking around to find my way out. "They're fine, but you should probably hurry." the old lady answered again. 'What? How?' I thought to myself while trying not to panic again. The young lady laughed a little like she just read my mind. "Wake up," she whispered before disappearing into thin air. I remembered looking up at the night sky and seeing the full moon shine brightly.
