The Hidden Mages

Huh, make sense...

"We're back!" I yelled so that the others could hear me.

At first, no one answered. The both of us looked around but we couldn't see anyone. So, we decide to go up. We checked the bedrooms and even the training area but no one was around. At last, we checked the meeting room and there they were.

"Hey," I said with a smile.

"Zoe!!" both Daphne and Leona exclaimed before running towards me and giving me a big hug.

"Good to see you guys too," I said while laughing.

"The mission went well I hope," spoke Vincent. We both nodded.

"We got lots to share,"

Here's a little history lesson about The Tribe of Terror. At first, that wasn't even the name of the tribe. The group of mages used to be called The Peacemakers. Centuries ago, there used to be two leaders of the tribe. One was a wizard while the other was just an ordinary man. Both had the intention of working together to show the rest of the world that both magic folks and non-magic folks can live together in harmony but it didn't exactly go as planned.....obviously. The leader who didn't have magic wanted all the power to himself.......typical. So, basically he betrayed the other guy and then there was a whole battle between the magic folks and non-magic folks. And I know what you're thinking where were the 9 mages in all this? Aren't they important. Well, I guess this is another failure of my ancestors. Anyways, where was I? Oh, yes. After the war, all magic folks went into hiding and the leader who was a mage? He died.

Just kidding. This guy went on a journey to some ancient place and managed to become immortal. Yes, you heard me right. Ever since then, this guy has been plotting a revenge on the entire population of non-magic folks. He managed to gather many magic folks from all around the world who felt the same way as he did. Now, you might be wondering, what do they want with Dylan? As you all know, Dylan has Fear Magic. So, after absorbing his magic, they're gonna use it on every non-magic folk in this world. With fear in them, they will be too afraid to fight and will bow down to their new ruler, the immortal dude who is also known as Eldor.

That's the end of the history lesson which brings is to the present. We, the descendants of The Hidden Mages will have to save the world. Yay us.(can you hear the sarcasm?)

"Wow....." Lucas spoke.

"What I don't get is where were The Hidden Mages?" Leona asked.

She was standing beside me with both her hands on the table.

"Maybe they didn't know?" Nico suggested, getting a look from all of us.

"Forget I said anything,"

" What about you, Zoe? What did you find?" Vincent asked.

I took out the two maps I stole from the mansion.

"You stole these?!" Lucas asked, wide-eyed.

"Oh, no of course not! I asked permission first," I replied making everyone laugh at my very sarcastic remark.

After showing them the maps, Vincent went over to his computer and located every hideout of the tribe, including the one Dylan was in.

"Done! Hideouts located!" Vincent exclaimed.

"That was fast," Nico stated.

"Angelo, when are they planning to attack?" Daphne asked with a serious tone.

"In three weeks time," he replied.

"Giving us enough time to train and plan our rescue mission" he continued.

We'll meet here tomorrow to plan out the mission," said Vincent and we all agreed before heading out of the meeting room.

Daphne, Leona, Opal and I went up to our rooms followed by Lucas.

"What do we do now?" Lucas asked after sitting on my bed beside me.

"I'm gonna go to the music room," Leona said before taking her phone from the bed.

"There's a music room?" Lucas asked.

"Yuppp, especially for the one and only.....me" Leona replied dramatically.

"I'll be heading to the art room after taking a quick shower," I said.

"What about you two?" I asked both Daphne and Lucas.

"I'm gonna take a short nap," answered Daphne.

"I guess I'll head to the gaming room," Lucas replied, making us look at him weirdly.

"Yes, yes. There's a gaming room. I think Xavier and Nico are in there too," he said before heading out.

I grabbed my towel and went inside the bathroom, Leona went to the music room and Daphne laid down on her bed. After showering, I changed into a pair of black shorts and a oversized black t-shirt that said 'Why Don't We' on it. ;)

I sat down on a stool after taking out a sketchbook I found and a pencil. At first, I didn't know what to draw at all but then it slowly came to me. After 4 solid hours, I was done with my artwork. It was a drawing of a girl dancing in the rain. I put it in a file I found before deciding to head to the library next. I entered the library to find Daphne sitting in one of the bean bag chairs with a book in her hand.

"Hey," I said first.

"Hey, Zoe. How did your artwork go?" she asked.

"I'd say it went pretty well. I'll show it to you later. Anyways, what are you doing here?"

"Well, after I woke up from my nap I decided to go for a walk. That's when I found this place," she explained.

"I see,"

"Oh, Zoe. I wanted to show you something,"

"What is it?"

"Follow me," she said before grabbing my hand and pulling me to one of the bookshelves.

She, then, pulled out a dark purple book and on it wrote 'History of Astrology Magic'. She flipped through the pages until she found the page she was looking for. She held up the book in front of my face without saying anything. On the first page was a picture of a young lady wearing a white flowy dress while holding a sword in her hand. She looked like she was surrounded by at least 20 soldiers but she didn't look frightened. Not one bit. She looked like she could murder them all in a second. "Who is that?" I asked Daphne after observing the picture. She then pointed to some writings just below the picture. My eyes became wider as I read what was written.

"Estelle Adonia".

The woman I was seeing...................is my mother.

I grabbed the book from Daphne and before taking a seat on one of the beanbag chairs, my eyes glued to the page. "What is my mum doing in a history book?" I asked before reading the long passage on the other page.

'Estelle Adonia. The mage of astronomy of The Hidden Mages. The protector of the Kingdom of Fairies.'

Estelle Adonia was known for being part of The Hidden Mages. She had encountered many battles alongside the other 8 mages. Estelle was also known for protecting the Kingdom of Fairies when they were being attacked by Eldor and his followers. It was said that she lost control during the battle, making the enemies retreat but no one knows for sure. It is believed that after what happened people were afraid of losing control of their own powers. Some even went as far as removing magic from their blood forever.

It all made sense now. The reason The Queen let me stay in the palace. The reason the fairies were all shocked when they heard that there was a new astrology wizard. The reason the wizards from the Tribe of Terror decided to turn back during the battle at the Fairy Kingdom. Everything seemed to fit into place. At last.
