It had been three days since Dylan left us. Three days since we saw the wizards of the Tribe of Terror. Since then, training had became our top priority in our daily routine. So did researching. Even if we weren't able to find anything useful, we didn't once gave up.
I had just finished training. It was 10 in the morning which meant I had been training for 3 hours. I grabbed my water bottle and took a seat on a bench nearby. I looked around the training ground while drinking my water. I was the only one here so, it was very quiet. Without knowing, I went into deep thought. For the pass three days, adventuring deep into my mind had been happening a lot. Honestly, it's been happening to everyone. You can't really blame us, can you? Right after getting the whole gang back together, we lost one. It wasn't easy. Anyways, while I was in my own thoughts, I heard someone come in. I looked up and saw Xavier, my elder brother walking towards me.
"Hey, are you done with your training?"
"Yea, why?"
"Vincent found something,"
Xavier didn't wanna give any details, saying that it would be clearer if I heard it from Vincent. I followed him to the meeting room where everyone had already gathered. Once we got there, Vincent didn't wait another second to tell us what he had found out.
"Three days ago, we met five wizards from the Tribe of Terror but they're not the only ones," he started.
"So, what are you saying?" Daphne asked, raising her eyebrow.
"I just found the hideouts of the Tribe of Terror,"
"Wait, did you say...'hideouts'?" I asked, hoping that I heard it wrong but unfortunately I didn't.
"There are hundreds of wizards from the Tribe of Terror. All separated into groups and each group has a hideout," he explained.
"Do you think Dylan could be in one of those hideouts?" Angelo asked.
"It's possible but the weird part is.....I can't detect Dylan's magic energy," he answered.
"So what's the plan?" I asked.
"Two of their hideouts are located somewhere near us. It'll take three days to reach there. Two of us will journey there and get as much information as possible,"
"Wait, hold up. Information about what?" Leona asked.
"Information about the tribe, of course. At the same time, we could also get info about Dylan's location," Vincent explained, once again.
"So, who's going?" Daphne asked.
"We need someone who can sneak in and out without getting caught," Nico stated.
"I already volunteered to check out one of the hideouts," Angelo spoke. "So, who will take the other one?"
"I will," I said.
"No way am I letting you go on a spy mission," Xavier told me.
"With my powers, I can get the information we need without getting spotted," I explained.
"She's right, Xavier. Using her fox armor, it would be easy to sneak in and out without being noticed," Vincent spoke.
"Fine," Xavier said, at last.
Once Angelo and I planned to leave the next day, I went back to my room and found Opal sleeping on my bed. She woke up right after hearing me enter the room.
"Hey Opal,".
I took my towel and headed to the bathroom. After taking a long shower, I changed into a more comfortable outfit. Then, I climbed on to my bed and grabbed my phone and a pair of headphones.
After an hour of listening to music, I finally got up and decided to walk around the building. The last time I did this, I found a huge library.
"Wonder what I'll find this time," I said to myself.
Before I left, I took my phone and headphones with me. I got into the elevator and pressed the number 5. Once I reached the fifth floor, I noticed that it was dark. Darker than the other floors. So, being the curious human being that I am, I decided to see what was on this mysterious floor. Eventually, I found myself standing in front of a door. It looked like those doors you see in castles. You know, the ones that looked like the entrance to the throne room? I grabbed the golden handle and turned it, not knowing what to expect. A chandelier was the first thing I noticed. It was the only thing there in this empty hall. Nothing else.
"What is this place?" I asked myself while doing a 360 turn. The walls were covered in beautiful floral wallpaper, making the room look royal-like. The chandelier that was hanging in the middle of the ceiling made the empty room look very fancy.
"A ballroom," I heard someone say
. I quickly turned behind to find Vincent leaning on one of the pillars.
"Why do you have a ballroom here?" I asked, curious about what his answer would be.
"For you," he replied.
"What?!"
"She said you were a brilliant dancer," he continued.
"Grandma? Grandma told you that?" I asked and he nodded.
"There's so many rooms in this building. There are rooms that are specifically meant for each one of us and this one is for you," he explained.
I continued to look around, this time observing every single detail.
Suddenly, I noticed a wooden door at one of the corners of the room. I walked towards it, wondering what it could lead to.
"What's this?" I asked Vincent, my eyes still fixed on the door.
"Why don't you open it and find out yourself?" he suggested and that's what I did.
This time the first thing I noticed was a huge painting hanged on the wall. It was a painting of a wolf howling at the moon.
"Let me guess, grandma told you about my art skills too," I said to Vincent and he nodded with a small smile. There were two tables. One had many art supplies on it and the other was a place for me to do my artwork. In one corner, stood a cupboard filled with more art supplies, stationary and different types of papers. "Wow...I could be in here for days," I said out loud.
"Alright, I gotta go see if the others have found their rooms yet," he said before walking towards the door of the ballroom.
"Alright. Oh and Vincent? He stopped and turned to my direction.
"Thank you" I said with a smile.
"No problem," he replied, returning the smile.
