Zal-who?

One more week. We have one more week to train and prepare before leaving for our rescue mission. One more week till we have to face the immortal mage who started all of this. Eldor. We were all called to the meeting room by Vincent at 4 in the morning. Yea. So, you can guess how we all felt. If you guessed we felt like whacking him in the face, then you are absolutely right.

"You better have a bloody good explanation for waking me up this early, Vincent!" grumbled Nico, his eyes looking all droopy.

"Look, I'm sorry for waking you guys up at this hour but I couldn't wait till later to tell you this,"

"I found it. The one way to defeat an immortal. The Sapphire of the Dragon God, Zialbirre," he said, causing all of us to look at him wide-eyed which was kinda hard to do considering we all literally just woke up.

"Zal- who now?" Xavier asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Zialbirre. The Dragon God," Daphne answered. "I thought Zialbirre died a long time," she continued.

"No, he didn't die. He went into hiding just like all other magical beings," Vincent explained.

"Am I the only one who has never heard of this Zal guy?" Nico asked.

"IT'S ZIALBIRRE!!!" Vincent yelled at his younger brother.

"Yea yea, whatever. Still feel like I'm the only clueless one here,"

"Well, Nico. You're not alone," I spoke. I really had no idea who this dragon god is. Never heard of him before but he sounds super ancient.

"Before the war between magic and non- folks, Zialbirre was entrusted with the sapphire. It was given to him by-". Vincent, then, paused for a while.

"By who?" I asked.

"Hecate,"

Apparently, the goddess, Hecate, entrusted the sapphire to the dragon god because she knew of what was about to happen. Being the goddess of witchcraft, magic and all, she used her powers to create the sapphire knowing that it was the only way to defeat Eldor. She knew she had to give it to The Hidden Mages but the mages at the time couldn't be found. She knew she had to keep the sapphire safe until The Hidden Mages return. She also knew that Olympus wasn't the safest place, surprisingly. Hecate was afraid that the other gods would want to use the power of the sapphire for revenge of some sort. So, at last, she gave it to Zialbirre. The dragon god swore an oath to protect the stone with his life. And he's still keeping his word till this day.

"Wait, there's still one thing I don't get," Lucas spoke, finally. "If Hecate created the sapphire, why didn't she use it on Eldor herself?" he asked.

"Good question," I added.

" If she ended Eldor's life, his followers will want to get revenge on the gods and the last thing the gods want is for history to repeat itself," Vincent explained.

"Where is the sapphire in the first place?" Leona asked.

"Well, according to the myths and legends, the sapphire is still with Zialbirre and the last place the dragon god was seen was at Mount Leitois. So, I'm guessing that's where it is?" Daphne replied, earning a nod from Vincent.

"Great. We're going on another magical and historical trip for a stone but only this time......it's a sapphire," Nico stated, sarcastically.

"Don't forget about the dragon god," I said trying to hold back my laughter but ended up failing badly.

"Right, how could I ever forget," Nico replied, making everyone burst out laughing.

One of the best feeling ever is getting in the shower early in the morning and letting the hot water hit your skin. You can't convince me otherwise. The meeting took at least 4 hours but we got to discuss a lot of things. We decided that the best time to retrieve the sapphire is right before rescuing Dylan. I know, you guys might be wondering 'why then?'. Well, that's because if we retrieve the sapphire any sooner, we won't have a safe place to put it. Our hideout is hidden well but the sapphire's energy is very strong and can be sensed from miles away. Anyone daring enough would be able to follow the sapphire's magic energy right into our hideout. So........that's why.

I got out of the shower before wrapping myself up with a white towel. After changing into a black crop-top and some black sweatpants, I plopped down on my bed with Opal beside me. We were the only ones in the room since both Daphne and Leona were training. I took out the book Daphne gave me, the one about astrology magic, from under my bed. I turned to the chapter where it explained the abilities of each of the constellation's transformation. I spent the next 2 hours reading, understanding and even memorizing the information in the book. After that, I went over to the training room to test out some of my transformations. On my way there I came across the sisters who were finally done with training, which means I'll have the training room all to myself. Once I reached there, it was empty and really quiet just like I expected it to be.

"Alright, let's get started," I said to myself before putting the book on one of the benches. I flipped through the pages until I found the page explaining about Aquarius. There were pictures showing the steps on how to fly using the wind element. At first, it was pretty difficult and I'd be lying if I said I didn't fall more than once. It took a lot of practice but in the end, I managed to get the hang of it and in no time I was finally able to fly without using any wings. I'll have to admit though, it was really tiring. I used up almost all of my magic energy but it was definitely worth it because I got to learn a new trick.

After training, I went back to my room, took a shower and headed to my art room. I wasn't sure why, but I was feeling very artsy(anyone else has had that feeling before?). I went over to the desk, placed my sketchbook on top and got to work right away. I had many ideas flowing in my mind. It was almost hard to pick what to draw but finally I decided on one. I drew a picture of a girl wearing a baby blue dress, flying in midair. A calm and relaxed expression, placed on her face and the cool breeze combing through her long flowy hair. Another one of the best feelings ever, in my opinion. The feeling of flying.
