It's that time of year again guys, gals and other!

I have left this a lot later than intended this year, but it has been a super chaotic few weeks and I haven't had the time and chance to even start to THINK about my top picks this year.

Turns out I had to think harder than I intended, as I stopped recording my progress in roughly August, so I have had to think super hard about what other categories and people fit in where.

But here we are, with majority of categories filled in and ready to go!

I have added a new category, brought back a few this year, and have a few spots to fill within the next few hours before I publish this for you few still around. I have lied, I cut a few out because I did not have winners.

Now, I warn you all, this year has been very up and down for me, so this is gonna be an interesting top picks section this year.

I will as usual, explain each time, so don't panic if you think for a minute I have lost my mind with some of these picks.

We are a judgement free zone, remember that kids.

Anyway, without any further attempt at throwing you all off guard, let's get right into it!

Album of the Year: Awaken The World by WayV

Now I'm sure you didn't expect this to be my first answer in this today, so let me explain for those of you unaware.

This year has been pretty tough for me personally, having spent pretty well 8 months in self-isolation, the stage 4 lockdown part of that, and so I went out of my way and rediscovered my love for the Kpop genre.

"Booo!" I hear you shout my way.

Boo yourself. Those who read my attempt of writing advice would have known that I was back on the Kpop train after an easy 8/9 year gap, so this probs won't come as much of a surprise to you.

I will go into further detail as this list progresses, as this isn't the only Kpop to make the list.

Why I said it is a bit different this year.

Now, my reasoning for choosing this album.

For those of you not within the Kpop scene, WayV are a subunit of NCT; their songs are not (for the most part) in English, more so Chinese (I assume Mandarin for certain reasons but not 100% sure so if any of you cool cats know, tell me if I am wrong, please).

Obviously this is something that will immediately turn a lot of people away from it, but I honestly highly recommend this album.

It was super good all around from start to finish, WayV have amazing vocalists and it is highly recommended by yours truly. Great place to start as well of trying to get into the genre.

I cannot sing enough praises for it. Most of the songs made multiple playlists of mine, put it that way.
