So I thought I'd do this one early this year; I did the other one on the 27th last year but I thought that today would be a great day to do it, as it's my birthday! Yay!

Also because I have another two things or so to put up in this bio and I wanted to make this part the 100th part of the book, so hence why it's so early this year.

Hmm where to start.
I've been keeping quite the list this year in preparation of this, so I have to now actually decide what I wanna make my top picks of 2018.
There're gonna be a few more/different categories in it this year, so be prepared for that. Some have changed names but were in the 2017 top picks too, just under a different name.

Let's start, shall we?

Album of the Year: Holy Hell by Architects

This was an incredibly hard choice for me this year.

Up until this album came out, Parkway Drive's 'Reverence' was going to take this out with ease.
But this year, Architects have done it and stolen that place from them.

This album is absolutely fantastic. From beginning to end. If you haven't ever listened to these guys, I thoroughly encourage it.
Listen to this album first to get the feel of it and then listen to their other stuff.

You won't be disappointed.

Worst Album of the Year: Vicious by Halestorm

Normally I don't like giving this one out but I know I did it last year and so I have to do it again this year.

This is easily one of the most disappointing albums I've heard in a long time.

To emphasise my point, I haven't even listened to it in full. I haven't been able to make it through the entire album.

I was a big fan of Halestorm when I discovered them, thinking it was so cool to have such a strong female fronted band. But now that has all disappeared and I don't really like them much at all now.

Except Arejay. I still love him.

This whole album was such a let down; they're way better than this album. It's just so boring and eye rolling and it's just a mess.

Obviously this' all just my opinion so feel free to disagree and attack me online for saying I didn't like something.

I wouldn't recommend this album if you were trying to get into their stuff.
Not at all.

Artist of the Year: Architects

I really didn't know who to give this to this year.

I guess since I gave them album of the year they can take our artist of the year as well.

Lots of respect for these guys. They lost a prime member of their band two years ago and have managed to push on through all the tragedy.

They're an amazing group of people and deserve to take this meaningless award from me.

Song of the Year: Mantra by Bring Me The Horizon

This was not an easy pick for me. I have a whole list of songs that came out this year that I had to choose from but this' the one that's won it for me this year.

I don't care what people think about BMTH. I honestly think it's great what they're doing music wise and honestly think it's a damn smart move on their part.

I will do a part later on this year or early next year about this kinda thing (has been previously mentioned) so I won't go too in depth about it now.
