Hello.

Hopefully that title doesn't trigger some people for some reason. Hope people aren't for some reason worrying about what this part is about.
Hopefully people are still reading this. I know there's at least one of you that is and I love you for it ❤️
I love each and every one of you; don't ever feel like you're unwanted because you're not 😘
Somebody (namely me) appreciates your existence.

This got sad and almost dark. I'm very sorry for that.

Anyway, happy late Friday everyone! It's after 8pm here and I wanted to have a bit of a chat about a couple things, so strap in and get ready for another long one because I have a lot to cover!!

As always, all opinions are very welcome and encouraged.

Ok so this' something that I've been thinking about a lot recently for some reason.

When it comes down to specific bands, some have this...stigma around them I guess you'd call it.
I'm gonna use BVB as my example because this' where I unfortunately see it the most.

We all know that different bands have different age demographics; some have younger fans and some have older.

MIW for example is an older fan base, while PTV is a younger fan base. Bands like FOB have younger, while bands like ITM have older.

BVB have a younger fan base, a lot of their fans ranging from 12 to roughly 17/18 or just above. Obviously there're some older people within the fan base that listen to them that're older than that, but when looking from an outside perspective, you mainly see the younger ones because there just seems to be more of them.

Different bands appeal to different people, I get that.

I've really noticed a lot over the years, not just recently (it's been going around my head recently though) that people within this specific scene stereotype people based on their band preferences and whatnot.

BVB being the example.

It's basically that if you mention that you like BVB, you must be this twelve year old fan girl that only cares about their looks, or well, more just about Andy.

Even back in 2014 when I started listening to them I got shit because everyone was just like "oh, they only like them for their looks. Like they even care about what they're saying. Oh you're trying to be edgy by listening to that shit. You'll grow up and outta it eventually."

First of all, go fuck yourself. Second of all, go fuck yourself.

This kinda thing really pisses me off because the moment you mention bands like BVB especially, these fucking people automatically look down on you and treat you like you're less of a person; that you don't matter and you don't give two fucks about any other music or whatever.

I'll have you know that I'm very serious about music. I'm not in it for looks. I get it.

It seems to happen so much with BVB; you automatically get labeled as a nothing, less of a person because of the fan base stereotype.
Granted it probably won't stop anytime soon.
Half the people who say those kinds of things haven't ever listened to their music and just go off what they've been told by other haters and what they see from the actual fan girls.

This isn't even just exclusively to bands either, oh no no no.

It's everywhere, no matter who you like, who you look up to.

It doesn't matter who it is, there are people who will look down on you and imply that you're less of a person because of who you inspire to be like and it fucking sucks, let me tell you.
