So this whole section is just gonna be me venting about a couple of things, so if you don't wanna read it, then by all means, totally skip this part. I've just had a really up and down day and would like to vent for a bit because I know if I don't, I won't be able to sleep very well and it'll keep weighing on me and it'll only make things worse in the long run.
So yes, if you have no interest in reading my venting, then please skip this part and await the next.
Alright, with that 'disclaimer' out of the way, there're a couple things I really need to get off my chest or else it's gonna drive me fucking crazy over the next however long and writing, no matter the format, usually helps me feel better and I just figure this' as good a place as any to say something because why the hell not.
To start with, it's only Monday, and I have had a terrible day. It hit three o'clock this afternoon and just went downhill from there.
So keep in mind that I work at a hardware store. I also normally do 6am shifts. Today was the first day I did an 11am shift and finished up at 7pm, so this' the first time I did close and so there were a couple things I had to deal with that normally I don't have to.
Don't get me wrong, I can handle dickhead customers; it happens during the day, but it happens more at night. Today was the first time that I've broken down at work because of people's attitudes.
Like I get it, you want that refund, but mate, if it's not your fucking credit card, I cannot and will not physically give you a fucking refund. It's illegal.
Don't fucking get pissed at me because I won't put it through, then tell me you're not leaving until it's fucking refunded, then go down to the service desk. Then, to top it all off, don't fucking come back out the door closest to me, demean me on your way out by saying 'thanks for not helping me whatsoever {insert my name here}' and then get shitty at me when I say there was nothing I could do, and then tell me that 'the guy down at service desk did it; why wouldn't you?' and then just leave.
Just fuck off. I don't get paid to get abused. Go and fuck yourself. I don't need your fucking shitty attitude ruining my life, my job, my afternoon. I'm not about to give you a refund on someone else's purchase.
It's not my fault your client paid for it. It's not my fault that he lives two hours away and he has to come in with his card and get the refund.
Don't fucking talk to me like I'm lowlife trash that has a fucking problem with you. I'm doing my fucking job. If you don't like it, fuck off to service desk because they won't say no to you. I'm not gonna have my name on something like that which is technically illegal. I cleared it with my coordinator before saying no to you, so don't get pissed with me.
I just...I don't have time for idiots. How is it my fault? You come in at nearly 5pm on a fucking Monday and want a refund on something you didn't even pay for!
To make it worse, just before this dickhead came in, I had to deal with another prick who got pissed with me because I put the items through at the proper price and yet he'd been quoted differently from another fucking store. There was a massive clusterfuck over this and I had to get my coordinator to deal with it and then had to deal with this other prick.
Like fuck the night shift! I dunno how my fellow colleague does it. Maybe I just end up with all the dickheads.
So we had a delivery go out today and turns out that the door this customer ordered had been put through the system wrong and so when the delivery guy rocked up and left the door there, we get a call saying 'oh this door isn't correct'. Ok, so why didn't you tell the driver and get him to bring it back straight away and we would've dealt with it then and there?
