Hello everyone that is left after my last post which yes, I am leaving published.
How are we?
So it's been probably roughly a week and a half since I yelled at all of you, well not all, but you understand what I'm trying to say.
Anyway, so I've been thinking a lot recently and thought I'd write something on this topic because I personally find it rather intriguing and interesting. Here's to hoping you do too.
So for those of you who have more than one story written, whether it's up here or somewhere else or not published at all, have you ever stopped and thought: how many of my stories take place in the same universe?
For those who don't quite understand what I mean, let me explain.
Every story creates a new universe. Some stories may take place in the same universe.
Some might be in separate story universes and some may not.
It might be hard to get what I'm saying so let me try another way.
From what I can gather, off the top of my head, I have roughly five separate story universes for my published stories at the moment.
-The Outcast Series universe
-The Other Side of Andy universe
-The Walking Dead/Bands universe
-A7X Series universe
-Motionless in Wonderland universe
All of these series' are separate universes; they take place in separate universes.
How did I figure that out? Well, it's simple!
Since they're all fanfics, I looked at who was in which stories/series.
All five of those universes have M. Shadows or have mentioned Avenged Sevenfold. Four out of five have Andy Biersack in them. Well, one series...not anymore ah hahahahahhahahahahaha
If you've read it you'll know.
So since those people are in nearly all of them, it means that they can't take place in the same universe.
So how do I figure out which ones do take place in the same universe?
Well, it's simple as well!
You look at who's in your stories and you work around it, even if it's just OCs.
For example, the only stories at the moment that I know of that take place in the same universe of my creations, are the A7X Series, and my wrestling ones (which are not yet published; I'm sure everyone's dying to read them).
Both of those series' are in the same universe because specific people are in the specific stories and no-one crosses over, no bands or whatnot are mentioned.
So this is how I've been able to determine which universe I've wanted to put it in.
Obviously I can't put any of my other stories in the Walking Dead/Bands universe for clear reasons.
But I could've put the wrestling ones in any other universe; I just chose the A7X Series one.
I've been planning on going through all of my stories, completed or not, and figuring out which universes they take place in, just for a bit of fun really.
Any that include Matt or Andy have to have separate universes for certain reasons.
So has anyone else thought about where their stories fit with their created universes?
It's just something fun to determine and add more into the worlds you've created, and it doesn't have to be just fanfic wise either. People may not ever even know they're the same universe.
Some of the non-fanfic ones I've worked on (not for a while, shhh), might take place in one of the mentioned universes. They might take place in separate ones.
Who knows??
Would anyone be interested in knowing which universes my stories are in? I'd be happy to do a separate list of all my stories, even if they've only just been started and universe categorise them if anyone is interested in seeing it for some reason, whatever it may be.
Let me know.
So how many created universes do you currently have and do you plan on having more than one story take place in the same universe?
