Is It Just Me? (27/09/18)

Ok so normally I'm not one to complain.
Ok that's a lie; I complain about pretty well anything and everything.

But recently, there've been mainly two things that've been grinding at me and this' a place to complain and rant and rave so that's exactly what I'm gonna do.

As I've stated previously, I'm totally fine with being tagged in things, whether it's contests or other, so don't let this deter you.

The only issue that I've got with this and it's happened about three times as of this morning (it's not even 8:30am yet), is that if I do not know who you are, don't freaking tag me.

There's this specific person who has tagged me in three different tag fest parts of these contest books and ffs it's starting to grind at me.

This person, I've never spoken to, they don't follow me, they haven't read my stories; there is literally no reason that they should be tagging me in anything at all and yet, three times so far.

One thing I have noticed about this person who I will not name and shame because that's mean, is that a lot of the people that they've been tagging, I see get tagged by people who normally tag me in contests, so they're clearly going and looking at who gets tagged and then just tagging a whole bunch of people because they can.

This morning I got tagged by this person in a fucking BTS edition of a writing contest.
What on God's green earth would make you think that I would be interested in that?
Like seriously.
You clearly haven't looked at my profile which is damn evident. You clearly have no idea what I write because you're just too freaking busy tagging people that you see get tagged in actual relevant writing contests.

Like c'mon. I have never spoken to this person. I didn't even know they existed until they started tagging me left right and centre in these irrelevant tag fest things.

IF I DO NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE DO NOT FUCKING TAG ME.

It's grinding at me and I swear that if I get tagged once more by this person, I'm probably gonna tell them to stop tagging me. This' actually the first time I've ever considered blocking someone on here.

I don't normally block people on any form of my social media but fuck me it's getting to that point.

Someone actually did ask them to stop tagging them in that stuff but idk what became of it.

Idk I just find it kinda rude that they're tagging all these people who probably have no idea of who they are.

There was one they tagged me in that was saying that whoever could tag the most people would get a shout-out.
This tagger tags so many freaking people all the time and I'm surprised they haven't been asked to stop by the same people.

Just c'mon.

Always happy to be tagged if it's by people who I've actually interacted with and aren't gonna tag me in useless stuff that there's no way I'd be interested in.

I don't even have any BTS fucking stories on my profile; I've never mentioned them and I have no fucking interest in that.

So why in the world would you, someone who doesn't know me and my writing and whatnot, tag me in this kinda thing??

I don't get it!

Message board notifications.

Boy oh boy where do we even start?
Half my notifications now are people spamming their message board with complete irrelevant bullshit.

Seriously, if you're gonna 'notify your followers' make it something fucking relevant.

Please.

I don't wanna see (nor do I care) about what you had for breakfast. What you did and didn't do today.
Why you hate your life.
That you hate someone.
That people are stupid because you didn't get your own way.
Or fucking song lyrics from the early 2000s all in capital letters.

No, if you're gonna notify people make sure it's something worthwhile like say...that you have a new story out or you've just updated one.
Relevance.

Like c'mon. Please stop. It's every hour and I'm always like 'oh cool a notification but oh it's probably just another message board notification that is irrelevant so eh'.

It's driving me kinda crazy.
The whole notifying followers via notifications is a great idea; I think it's quite good.

But ever since they brought it in as a new feature, there're so many people who're just abusing the power and feature and just c'mon.

Please. Please make it relevant.

I have nothing more to say on the matter. Rant over.
