ARTEMIS'S POV.
I still remember that day like if it were the events of the last hour.
I stood there, all my bags packed, ready to leave my family forever. Allegra has been crying non stop and A consoling her. I know it's hard from him too. CG's wife whonwas still on bedrest insisted on coming down to see me off. I look to my right to see CG walking towards me.
"Fuego, you will forever be my daughter, blood or no blood. It's difficult for all of us, but please understand that this is for your safety. I don't want you to be hurt because of my enemies. You will always be our Fuego, our fire. Now listen to me carefully, when you turn 17, you will be allowed to come back here. On that day, we will welcome you with open hearts and arms." CG spoke to me in the softest voice posible.
"Wear this, it will always remind you of us. Promise me never to take it off!" He said as he made me wear a necklace.
A crescent moon and a precious stone hanging above.
"We will always love you Fuego." He says through my haiy, as he kisses the top of my head
I then walk over to his wife and hug her. "I'll miss you." I whisper into her ears.
"Mi hija. estaré esperándote" she replied.
(My child. I'll be waiting for you)
I then walk to a wailing Allegra. "Atleast I'm helping you clean your eyes so you can aim better." I comment, making her burst into laughter. "I'll miss you the most" I say bugging her tightly.
"I will walk into hell, kick your ass and bring you back if you die before you return." She replied.
"I'll make sure for that to not happen." I reply with a smile.
"A.... I'll miss you." I reply with tears in my eyes as I hug him for the last time.
"I'll miss you too..... Kid." He replied with a sad smile.

"We better hurry up Fuego." Came a voice from behind me. I turn around to see Marco, CG's PA.
I brush away my thoughts, put the necklace back in and walk out of the room, still sleepy.
