Tres went to the shelter today to visit Kobe. Galing na siya sa office kanina at since wala masyadong trabaho, nakaalis siya at dito dumiretso. Kaso, may kasama siya. Cheska went with him kasi she wants to see Kobe daw.

"How long has he been here?" Cheska asked as they were walking inside.

"Couple of weeks na rin ata." Tres answered. "Miss na miss ko na nga eh."

"Halata nga." Cheska said and chuckled.

"Uy, sir. Asa loob po si Kobe." Iris said when she saw them. "Yung papers niyo po, okay na?"

"A-ah, about that, matagal pa naman yon, diba?" Tres answered.

"Yes, sir. I'll notify you naman po pag kailangan na. Tara na po sa loob. I'm sure Kobe misses you so much." Iris said and smiled.

She just let the 'foster license talk' go kasi alam niya naman na hindi madaling gawin yung hinihingi ng DSWD kay Tres.

"What's up, champ?" Tres said as he carries Kobe. "You missed me? I missed you too!" He said and nuzzled the baby with his nose. "I love you."

Cheska smiled at the sight. She's known Tres since college and she has never seen him this happy about anything or anyone before. She knows he'll be a good father to this little one.

"You two look so cute." Cheska said while smiling.

For a second, Tres thought that she can be the 'mom' Kobe needs. But that thought really lasted just for a second when someone else's face popped out in his mind. An image of her carrying Kobe in her arms.

"You mean, gwapo?" Tres kidded which made the three of them chuckle.

"Sige, sir. Dito muna ako, may gagawin pa po ako eh." Iris said. "3 hours, sir."

"Grabe ka naman. Sinabi ko lang na gwapo kami, aalis ka na agad?" Tres said.

Iris chuckled again, "Hindi, ah. May gagawin lang talaga ako. Tsaka, andiyan naman si ma'am." She said and knowingly grinned at him.

Tres shook his head as if telling Iris that Cheska is not the one. Iris just smiled and nodded at them then left them to bond with Kobe.

"Can I carry him?" Cheska asked.

"Yeah, sure." Tres answered and handed Kobe to her.

"You're so cute and very gwapo like your daddy, baby." Cheska said with a huge smile on her face. "I'm sure you'll grow up making a lot of girls cry, just like your dad."

"Uy, foul!" Tres said.

"Is it?" Cheska jokingly said.

Tres just shook his head at that and brought them out. Pag kasi andito sila, pwede sila mag-ikot basta within the shelter lang. They have 3 hours to spend with the kids tas after that, ibabalik na ulit sila sa loob.

"Gaano pa katagal yung process?" Cheska asked while they're in the garden.

"I don't know. Matagal pa yun." Tres answered.

"It'll be worth it, Tres. I assure you." Cheska said and smiled.

"I know. Ngiti pa lang ng batang yan, okay na ako eh." Tres said and smiled back at her.

"Just tell me if you need any help. I can ask dad for it." She said.

Lawyer kasi ang daddy niya kaya baka kahit papaano eh makatulong.

"Thank you pero I wanna do this sana on my own." Tres said. "Para wala na ding maabala."

Cheska slowly nodded her head, "You know, you're never a bother to anyone in our family. But if you say so, sige. Basta, andito lang ako." She said.
