Tres was smiling from ear to ear as he tells Dev the good news. He just got promoted as the chief engineer of their firm and he can't contain his happiness.

"Pa-cheese burger ka naman!" Rome said.

"Oo nga! Baka naman, CHIEF!" Wes said with a teasing tone.

"Sure! Kain tayo, soon." Tres said, smiling. "Wag lang mamaya kasi uuwi ako sa QC."

"Uhm, chief?" Cheska said and put a pile of paper on his desk. "Great power, comes great responsibility." She chuckled. "Those are all for review and then you have a meeting next week, 8am at Gregory Inc."

"Woah. What a work!" Wes said.

"Way to go, chief!" Asar ni Rome sa kanya at tinapik pa ang balikat niya.

Tres smiled, "This is what I came for." He said.

"Yon!" Wes said and gave him a high-five saka sumunod kay Rome.

"Good luck, chief." Cheska said and sat on her table, beside Tres'.

"Uhm, sir Tres, kailangan niyo daw po lumipat sa taas. May sarili na daw po kayong office dun." Sabi nung isa nilang intern na si Jeric.

"Lakas!" Rome said.

"Big time!" Sabi naman ni Wesley.

"Sinong may sabi?" Tres asked.

"Si boss JDL po." Jeric answered.

"Sunod na, bro!" Sabi ni Wes.

"Parang mas excited ka pa, pre?" Natatawang sabi ni Rome. "Pero, sige na, pre. Taas ka na!" Sabi niya habang minamasahe pa si Tres sa balikat.

"Sige, sunod na lang ako. Salamat." Tres said and smiled at Jeric before letting him leave.

"Paano ba yan? Wala ng bigla-biglang manlilibre ng milktea at pizza dito sa 3rd floor?" Fred, a colleague joked.

"Meron pa rin, Fred. I'll just be three floors away. Kayang-kaya makarating ng milktea at pizza niyo dito." Tres smiled.

"I know I'm being dramatic but mami-miss ka talaga namin dito, Tres." Pia said, another colleague.

"Well, I will miss you guys, too. Wala akong kasama don sa taas eh." Tres chuckled. "Pero alam niyo, ang arte natin. Tataas lang ako ng tatlong palapag, oh!"

They all laughed at that. Simula kasi nung unang araw ng pagtatrabaho nila dito, itong mga kasama nila sa 3rd floor, sila pa rin. Kaya kahit na lilipat lang talaga ng office si Tres eh siguradong mami-miss nila ang isa't-isa.

After a couple of minutes, tumaas na rin si Tres sa bagong office niya. Yung dati kasi nilang chief engineer, lilipat na sa U.S. for good kaya kailangang palitan. And who else will boss JDL choose, right? Hindi naman dahil favorite si Tres kaya siya ang napili. Alam lang din talaga niya na capable si Tres sa position.

"Laki naman nito para sakin lang, sir." Sabi ni Tres sa boss niya habang palinga-linga sa buong opisina.

"Tama lang yan. Kasi simula ngayon, malaking tao ka na." Boss JDL said. "You're not just Engineer Tres Valdez, but Chief Engineer Tres Valdez. That makes a world of difference kaya tama lang sayo 'to." He said and tapped his shoulder. "You deserve all of these, Tres."

"Thank you so much, sir." Tres said and smiled at him.

"Oh, sige na. Fix your things 'cause you got a whole lot of work to do." Sabi ng boss niya at itinuro yung mga papel sa lamesa niya. "You got this, kid."

"Yes, sir. Thank you po ulit." Tres said before his boss left him to go to his own office.

Tres started fixing his things and arranging and designing his office the way he wanted. He knows a thing or two about architecture and interior designing din naman so he was able to make his new office presentable.
