"Hi."

Napatingin si Jas sa nagsalita at kahit hindi niya kilala ay nginitian niya yun.

"Hello." She said.

Andito kasi siya sa shelter today. Ready na ulit siyang mag-adopt and she'll start it today.

"Can I join you here?"

"Sure." Jas answered.

"I'm Vaughnn.." He said.

Jas creased her forehead, "Parang narinig ko na pangalan mo pero hindi ko alam kung saan." She said. "Anyway, I'm Jas." She said and offered him a handshake.

"You probably heard my name na nga." He said. "I'm Dev's ex."

"Oh." Jas said. "Anong kailangan mo sakin?"

"You like Tres, right? No. You love him." Vaughnn said.

Jas nervously chuckled, "Dude, I'm over that stage. Nag-usap na kami ni Tres and I'm okay. I have to go, sorry." She said and left Vaughnn.

"Fuck.." Vaughnn hissed while looking at Jas' retreating figure.

He just went to see the kids in the shelter since andito na rin naman siya.

"Good morning, miss. Can I know kung saan dito yung baby na ina-adopt ni Engineer Valdez?" Vaughnn said.

"Uhm, sorry, sir. Bawal po kasi ipakita yung mga bata na may nagpa-process na ng papers, unless relatives nung applicant foster or kilala na po dito yung pupunta. In your case, sir, ngayon ko lang po kasi kayo nakita dito kaya bawal. Sorry po." Iris answered.

"Ah, ganun ba? Binilin kasi niya sakin na ako muna pumunta dito eh. Check lang sana yung baby since he can't go here." Vaughnn said.

"Ah, ano po ba kayo ni Tres?" Iris asked.

"I'm his colleague. I can show you a picture if you want." Vaughnn said.

"Ah no need, sir. Hindi rin naman po maa-allow. Bawal po kasi talaga. If you want, balik na lang po kayo dito kasama sila Tres. Sorry po talaga, sir." Iris said.

"Oh, sayang naman. Sige, next time na lang. Thank you." Vaughnn said and smiled at her.

"Ah wait lang po, sir. Ano pong name niyo?" Iris asked.

"Vaughnn." He answered.

"Okay, sir. Pasensya na po talaga. Next time, sir!" Iris said.

"Sure, thanks again." Vaughnn said and left.

To: Tres
May pumunta ditong lalaki gustong makita si Kobe. Vaughnn daw name niya. Kilala niyo?

"Hello, Iris. Andiyan pa siya?" Tres asked.

He immediately called Iris when he read her text.

"Wala na. Sabi ko bawal eh. Bawal naman talaga na makita yung kids unless kayo, relatives niyo or someone na kilala na namin dito yung pupunta. Kaya ayun, umalis na." Iris answered. "Sino ba yun?"

"Wag mong ipapakita si Kobe sa kanya. Ex ni Dev yan." Tres answered. "I'll explain to you pag nakapunta kami diyan pero for now, please take care of Kobe muna."

"Sige sige. Kami na bahala sa kanya." Iris said.

"Thanks, Iris. Don't worry, ako bahala sayo." Tres said.
