Dev went to the shelter today to fix the foster papers. She's been secretly working on this because she really wants to surprise Tres. The other day when they went here, Tres was asking a lot about the foster and the adoption but he never mentioned anything to her. Iniisip niya kasi na baka ayaw pa rin i-adopt ni Dev si Kobe.

"We'll schedule both of you for the home visit, probably next week. I'll just message you about it." Ma'am Mari said and smiled.

"Sige po, ma'am. Uhm, kayo na lang po bahala na magpalusot kay Tres, please?" Medyo nahihiyang sabi ni Dev.

"Oh yeah, sure. This isn't the first time naman na may ganito kaming gagawin. Usually nga lang, guys yung nagsu-surprise sa ladies if they decide to be daddies na rin ng ina-adopt na baby. But, it's no difference naman. We can surely pull this off." Ma'am Mari said.

"Thank you so much po, ma'am." Dev said and smiled. "I promise, we'll take good care of Kobe."

"I'm certain, you will. Kitang-kita naman namin sa inyo ni Tres na talagang mahal na mahal niyo ang bata." Ma'am Mari said and smiled as well. "He's in great hands, once mapunta na talaga siya sa inyo."

"Salamat po, ma'am." Dev said.

Dumaan lang siya sandali kay Kobe tas dumiretso na sa ospital.

"Girl, kanina ka pang hinahanap ni Dr. Salvador." Sabi ni Bianca pagdating ni Dev.

"Bakit daw?" Kunot-noong tanong ni Dev.

Bianca shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. Hindi na ako nagtanong, mukhang galit eh." She answered. "Puntahan mo na lang."

Dev went to Dr. Salvador's office and knocked.

"Come in." He said.

"Good morning, doc." Dev said.

"Sit down." Dr. Salvador, seriously said.

Dr. Juancho Salvador is the head cardiologist of the hospital. Siya yung pinaka-boss ni Dev dito kaya kapag sinabing hinahanap siya nito, kabado bente. 🤣

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you since I came here at 6am." Dr. J said.

"Uhm, may inasikaso lang po, doc." Dev answered. "Sorry po."

Dr. J sighed, "Well, I don't really wanna talk to you about this sana but this is a concern of one of our patients." He said. "I'm sure, you know Vince Valderama from room 314, right?"

"Yes po, doc.." Dev answered.

"His girlfriend is telling us that you told Vince to break up with her." Dr. J said which made Dev's eyes grew wide. "She said that you brainwashed her boyfriend so that he'll break up with her. Ano bang sinabi mo, Dev?"

"Doc, I didn't say anything close to that." Dev said. "I was just trying to help them."

"What exactly did you tell him?"

"I just told him to follow his heart and to follow what he feels." Dev said. "He asked for my advice and I just told him what I think and feel is right, doc. His girlfriend is cheating on him, he told me that. And he was asking what does he need to do if he knows she's cheating but he can't let her go." Kwento ni Dev. "Doc, I've been in the same situation and I just wanna share what I learned from it. If Vince ended up breaking up with her, it's because he's tired and can't take it anymore. It's not on me or on anyone but her, doc." She said all of that calmly kahit na inis na inis siya.

"Then, why is she telling us otherwise?" Dr. J asked.

Dev sighed, "Doc, I don't know. I don't even know her personally. My only focus is on my patient, who is Vince. Anything, not related to his health is actually not part of my job. But, he needed me that time, doc. All I wanted to do was to help him and not to ruin ay relationship he has with her." She said.
