The next day, maagang gumising si Tres para pumunta sa kapit-bahay niya. He knows Dev is going to work today so he planned to take Kobe and bring him sa bahay nila sa QC para may makasama siya mag-alaga. Ni hindi na siya naligo muna at dumiretso na agad sa bahay ni Dev kasi sobrang excited din siya na makita si Kobe ulit. He knocked on Dev's door and smiled widely nung pinagbuksan siya.

"Good morning, doc!" He said and even waved at her. "Si Kobe?"

"Pinangalanan mo na talaga, no?" Dev said and chuckled a bit. A first since Tres was able to talk to her. "Andun sa kwarto, tulog pa. Pasok ka."

They walked to Dev's room and there, Kobe was sleeping soundly in the middle of the bed.

"San ka natulog?" Tres asked.

"Diyan sa couch." Dev answered.

"Sorry.." Tres said and scratched his nape.

"No, okay lang. Natutulog naman talaga ako dito minsan." Dev answered. "Parang hindi pa gigising yan. Coffee?"

"Pwede ba?" Tres asked.

"Ewan ko sayo." Dev answered and went to her kitchen.

Tres chuckled and followed her then sat on the bar stool.

"Sama ko siya sa bahay namin sa QC. Andun lolo at lola ko, may kasama ako mag-alaga sa kanya." Tres said as Dev makes coffee for them.

"Wala ka talagang balak i-report yan?" Dev asked.

"Puro ka report eh." Tres said. "Bahala na. Basta, sakin siya today."

Dev sighed, "So, hindi mo ko sasamahan sa police station today if ever na I'm going?" She asked.

"Hindi." Tres honestly answered. "Ikaw na lang kung gusto mo."

"Wow, ha." Dev said and put Tres' coffee infront of him. "Dito tayo." She said and walked to the veranda. "Bat ang aga mo?" She asked when Tres sat beside her.

"Excited ako makita kayo--I mean si Kobe eh." Tres answered. "May pasok ka ba today?"

"Meron." Dev answered and sipped from her cup. "Ikaw?"

"Meron pero, nagpaalam na ako na I won't report today." Tres answered. "I'll spend this day with Kobe."

"Masyado mong nilalapit loob mo sa kanya. Baka, biglang may maghanap diyan." Dev said.

"It's been almost 24 hours. Kung may maghahanap diyan, dapat kahapon pa. Tsaka, if that happens, edi wala tayong magagawa. Pero hangga't wala, satin siya. Ako ang daddy niya at ikaw ang mommy niya." Tres answered and smiled.

"Tres, I can't be his mom. May boyfriend ako. Hindi ko pa nga siya nakakausap simula kahapon eh." Dev said.

"Hindi naman kita pipilitin. Pero if he asks, sasabihin ko ikaw mommy niya." Sabi ni Tres at uminon din ng kape niya. "Sarap ng kape mo, ah."

"Baliw ka ba? Paanong magtatanong eh sanggol yun?" Dev said.

"Sa future." Sabi naman ni Tres. "Ooops, oo na. Sasabihin mo na naman na baka hindi siya magtagal dito. Nope. I'm confident na sakin na siya. Ako na talaga magiging daddy niya." He said and gave Den a confident smile.

"How sure are you?" Dev asked.

"I can feel it." Tres answered.

"Wow." Dev said at napa-inom na lang ulit ng kape. "Matagal ka na ba diyan sa tapat?"

"Awa ng Diyos, 1 year na. Kung hindi pa dahil kay Kobe, hindi tayo magkaka-usap." Tres answered.

"Ang simple lang ng tanong ko, dami mong sinabi." Dev said.
